So like I'm unsure what colour scheme/chip values to assign.
Here's a list of colours:

Values: 10c/25c/50c/$1/$5 and (both or either, undecided yet) $10/$25
I'm thinking of
10c White
25c Royal Red
50c Horizon Blue
$1 Black
$5 Laker Purple
$25 or $10 Canary Yellow
Thoughts on colours/values plz!

It's recommended that if your buying a nice set don't put monetary values on them. If you play large tourneys and have to chip up the values will not be right sometimes with large groups you need to double up the lesser value with multiple colours. Never mind when playing $5 cash games vs $50 tourneys.
Just get the standards to start and use the values most have for cash or tourneys with a chart
white -1
red -5
blue -10
green -25
black -100
and then some orange, purple and other colours can be added as you see fit.
Go to home poker tourney and look at the PDF chaarts you can download.

I already have a tourney set. I'm getting this for cash specifically. I was looking for input on actual colours/values. There are like 4/5 shades of red... Just saying red isn't helping me here

Cool, none of that was mentioned. The only thing I have found in the past is when playing with someone who pics some random colour scheme is that people who play enough will always be confused early in the night with what colours are what, but with the values on them it's probably gonna be alright.

Sorry, yeah I'm pretty fixed on the values, dunno whether to have a $10 and $25 chip or not....
I'm having some art work stamped on the other side too.
Denoms will be in this style:

You don't need 6 colors. 3 colors would be sufficient, 4 colors is nice.
I would go with a pattern with edge spots personally. You're just going solid? It's really hard to judge from the picture. Can you get samples from them? I like rich colors, so would pick:
Royal or Blood Red, can't tell from the pic
Laker Purple, even though I hate the name
Black
Light blue
Might get Hourton Blue and purple if the Laker Purple doesn't contrast very well with the black
Others: white\orange\forest (or dairy) green
Not sure what help you're looking for here.

i dont understand why you're going with cents?
go with dollars.
$10
$25
$50
$100
$500
and if you're feeling frisky...
$1000
if you're playing with chips marked as cents, then just use the coins.
imho

Just looking to see what colour options you think would go together well/look good. Also once colours decided, what value to put on which values.
Here's a better pic of the colours: http://img229c.imageshack.us/img229/...ors35sstg0.jpg

Because we will be playing in a bar, so technically it won't be a legal game. Not having money on the table will help if anything happened.
It's a micro/small stakes cash game, so we'll need the low denoms for blinds etc... we aren't goignt o be splashing around $1000 pots... imo

I'm an idiot and missed that you posted colors/denominations in the OP. I personally despise doubling denominations, it leads to confusion IMO.
5c - White
25c - Horizon blue
$1 - Royal Red
$5 - black
$25 - Probably just purple instead of Laker so it contrasts with the black better (Especially since they're both higher denom).
If you're going 6 colors I'd use day green instead of canary yellow. The canary is hideous and clashes with everything, I like darker greens, but not the chips in the pic.
{Edit: get that blue, bleh to the cream}

I could get that done, but as the company is American they don't have pence/£ molds made and to get these made would be so much more expensive. There are no decent custom chip companies in the UK

Do not waste your time and money on .10/.50/$10 chips. The values make no sense in the latter chip up stages.
If you must have denom chips, then the standard is; 1/5/25/100/500
I personally prefer non-denoms, then I can make them whatever I want them to represent, because I hate going from a 500 chip to a wasteful 1000 chip.
My 1000 poker chip set colors represent; white = 1 / red = 5 / green = 25 / black = 100 / purple = 500 / yellow = 2500 / pink = 10,000.
This set-up works very well in all my home games, both cash games and tourneys.

lol you so didn't read this thread

lul, wow really is it this difficult to get some advice on what colour combination would work/look good.
4 people have posted about how I should not get denoms/change denoms. THIS IS A CASH GAME SET, SPECIFICALLY FOR MICRO/SMALL STAKE CASH GAMES.

10c White -- standard
25c Royal Red -- personally blood red i like a bit more
50c Horizon Blue -- light blue (seems i like the bit darker colours a little more then you)
$1 Black -- yeah this or dark green imo
$5 Laker Purple -- looks a lot like black, I'd take black here or the dark green
$25 or $10 Canary Yellow -- I like gold
Edit: prefer 10$ over 25$ if you play 100NL max. Not if you guys plan to play higher in the future, but probably not
