The more posts in a thread, the less content the thread possesses. If the thread contains content, it is unlikely to become very long.
Discuss? (unless it's hijacked I put the o/u on this thread at 15)

The more posts bigred makes, the less content his posts are likely to have.

Um, some of you dont remember the day soupie unloaded his guide to MTT poker.
Long thread jam packed full of all the knowledge of the poker universe. The forum almost collapsed under the gravitational pull this enormous mass of content was possessing.
But thank god we're well past that these days.

but the original post was flawed, because there was never really any content to this thread. AND it got hijacked.
Don't double negatives cancle each other out, making the o/u on this thread 15?

maybe this just shows poker is a simple game - And everything we REALLY need to read is already stickied...The rest is just practice and playing tons of hours (that is the best way to learn, isn't it?) - But does that mean we don't need FTR? I think it's okay for a website to be informative and social - Think how many dropouts we would have if everything was a chart or every post had to follow all guidelines for interesting decisions blah, blah blah - I have nothing of real content to add - i'm thinking but the light goes out quicker and quicker these days....Im working my way (in my head) through my Thank You FTR post someday soon - Wanted to get a few thousand more hands in though....
Alright - Here is a question that just might add content (if not, i don't care - i didn't start this damn thread
How many people here think about FTR more than a normal person might? I tend to think about my game a lot - Im always trying to recall hands in my head...Right now I haven't played in about 2 weeks, but i'm thinking all the time - nevermind - Better question coming...
WHAT IS THE BEST/MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED AT FTR????
here is mine - I always thought just because I had won a few tourneys (some big ones) that I was a decent player - When I found FTR I started realizing that there were some REALLY damn good people...I went and bought Poker Tracker and started reviewing hands - I started to think about what players were doing and why they were doing it (also, why I was doing things) - I learned to multi-table 6handed NL when I used to be able to only do 2 tables....And i've been reading/playing poker for like 2 years now - I guess the biggest realization I had from FTR was that I was nowhere NEAR serious enough - Until your actually a WINNING player, your not good....I had clocked some nice wins, but i sure wasn't a consistent winning player...Since I found FTR I sure have become a hell of a lot better though - so there is mine
why am i helping someone elses thread anyway kidding - lets get some content -

that was pretty serious - well, i would go answer there, but then i would probably get in trouble for bumping an old thread (and we might be on the verge of trouble already for the current one)
did you ever figure it out? Or did you just say fuck it and became everyones favorite target?

heres another one that wows me - FNORD, the 4th member of FTR, has 11k+ posts since he joined - He has over 1.1 million words and has posted an average of 12.24 posts per day -
you wanna talk about some content, maybe we should just talk about a little thing called "dedication" - FNORD is our shining example - He is my Mecca

no problem.
Basically, no content = 0. Warpe content = -1. Bigred content is comparable to absolute zero = -50. The highest level of content most threads on FTR reach is about .6, on my -50 thru 50 scale.
Speaking of which, on the standard -50 - 50 scale, where does the holy thread of randomness stand?

always looking for a pat on the back, eh? i'll give it a 5 - Its pretty solid, and interesting - the low content could be a problem but that is not the intent of your thread - Considering warpe is -1, a 5 seems pretty strong....

no Lukie's thread is about -0.3. Highish rating because most people have posted in it.

I actually thought that was just what this thread needed...
But then I think most threads here could use a little dash of pirate in them.
