So I finally get up to go to PSY101 for the first time on a non test day in a mont and guess what happens a guest speaker who talks about suicide for 15 minutes then asks for questions, dead silence and hten he says we can go.
Ummmm its fucking 8am, It took me 15 minutes to walk here and I eat 2 bowls of ramen so I oculd stay awake thru the class and thats what I get you mother fucker!
I feel so used and said now.

I wasted 2 years at University before dropping out and going to computer college.
Smarten the fuck up. Best advice you'll ever get right there. If class is that much of a bother drop out and do something else. Don't waste $$ on tuition if that isn't what does it for ya. I wasted $18k on 2 years of Uni and got nothing. Dropped out, worked a min wage job, pulled my head from my ass, and went back to school, but this time I did something I was INTERESTED in.
You will thank me for this later.

btw on topic I'm not going ot my first class cause I definately slept for 10 hours last night and would have been 5 min late so didn't worry about it. Class is overrated, especially for nonmajor prereq's

Well said.
I once complained to the Provost that a professor didn't seem to take class seriously, letting us out early VERY regularly and having stupid unrelated topics 1/3 the time.
That professor hated me rest of season. So much for confidential discussions with the Provost (that's like a Dean) Luckily his tests were so easy I got A even with his hatred.
WTF I paid tuition to learn, not to find classes I could skip easily and Ace the class. I coulda skipped half those classes and got an A. Just cause it was an ethics class for Engineers (basic Philosophy) doesn't mean we shouldn't take it seriously.

Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.

Why would you complain about something like that..........
What people need to realize is that, very specific major-related classes excluded, the classes you take in college just prove to a future employer that you have the ability to learn and make good choices. In most of your classes, what you learn is not important. Getting a good grade is much more important, generally speaking.

I never went to class or did homework and I still graduated from college...of course my 2.6 GPA is probably the reason why I'm a Senior Airman fixing airplanes for twelve hours a day instead of a lieutenant flying in them. If you hate class, drop out and do something else. While I was in college barely able to buy beer and drugs, much less any luxury item, one of my best friends was making a killing robbing liquor stores.

Whats wrong with MATLAB? Used it at uni and I never had a problem with it or do you prefer doing everything by hand?

whatever. I was able to do that, learn, get laid a lot and get drunk a lot. An unhappy college boy is not a good thing.
But hell i graduated in 1988. So maybe schools are just fluff factories now.

nothing wrong with that.. different strokes for different folks
What you cannot say, however, is that what you learn in your general prerequsite classes is going to help you in your careers.. let's be real now.
