Hey guys.
As for the date, how about Sunday, December 12, 2004?
Time: 9:05pm est?
Location: PokerStars
Buy-in: $10+1
As for the number of players. I was thinking the best way to do it would be to have an equal number of players per team, to start with filled tables. ie, either 9 or 18 players a side. We can field 18 but if you're not sure you can commit for that many we should keep it to 9 a side.
Their are multiple scoring structures we can use. I think the best is probably twodimes.net where we just have to input the number of players. I think that works better than just overall $$$. But this is up for discussion.
On a side note, I'd like to make this something that we do possibly every 2 or 3 months. This keeps it somewhat of a special event, yet it's often enough to see which site is improving and stuff.
Any opinions welcome here.

Should make some side wagers on what side is gonna take the crown. Obviously my money is on FTR but I cant trust these people since I dont know any of em and they might end up screwing me.

Or besides any side bets, the losers have to put a link to the others site with the winners logo with a little graphic that says something like ... "Current FTR/WPTfan Match Play Champion" or something similar. Then the loser would always be reminded of it when they go to their site.

I dig this and would love to play, but I wonder about how team poker works?
Does it count as collusion if FTR guys are staying out of each other's faces and just trying to beat the WPT guys? Obviously, telling each other your cards and so on is evil, but it seems like semi-collusion is the whole point of a matchup like this. Or am I missing something?

That is a good point LeFou...if you min raised before me and I was holding T-Js, normally I would play back at you...but since we are on the same team I would be more inclined to lay down mediocre hands.
Normal cutthroat poker like the gauntlet - or would this be more of a team sport? I don't care either way, but we should clarify the rules up-front.
BTW - that date and time is fine with me...looking forward to it.

Play to finish first, regardless of who's chips you take along the way.
I know I will be...
Problem solved... 
I do agree that it could pose a problem if we were to get ultra-competitive but like I said originally, it's just a for fun thing. Play individually as you would any other tournament and in the end, we'll see what site did better.

Ok lets just all join a big MTT (dont know if this was the plan) and whoever gets more top 100 finishes or whatever wins, MTT's are much better than SNG's for this kind of things because the odds of running into one of your team members are very slim....

I'm a little bit in agreement with 'lanto. A bunch of big/medium MTTs would be a better measure of the teams' skills.
Sure, I'd play for myself; could always use $100 or so. But if that started not looking possible, I'd definitely dump chips off to Rad or Ripp or even Humphrind.
What's $10 to help out my homies?

I'm down for either version, but it does sound like a public MTT would force the event to be more fair.
If it goes down on Sunday, I won't be able to participate - going to San Francisco Sun-Thurs for work), but I'm sure Team FTR will do just fine without me.

time is no good for me niether, i start work at 10 pm est, so the time has yto be before 7 pm eastern, which would also benefit our european members, how about sunday at 3:00 easterm 12:00 pacific does that work for everyone?
