I am considering a job offer to teach in Saudi Arabia, and I'd like to know if there are any FTR members in KSA or the Gulf? In fact the reason I became interested in poker was that I read that expats played poker on the weekends.

I wouldn't be surprised if FTR is filtered out in Saudi. Some predominantly Muslim countries do filter out porn/gambling/etc.

Saudi Arabia -> Muslim -> Gambling punishable by death.
They *have* been gettig more lax over the years, however.

Seriously though, Yemen is a far better place to visit as there is basically nothing in Saudi Arabia worthwile seeing (unless you are a Muslim).

There's a higher concentration of extremists there who don't exactly share that view about westerners. It's a fairly fundamentalist theocracy not exactly known for 'tolerance'. I'm sure the average dude on the street is fine, but I'd rather be holding AA vs ATC than I would QQ...
