This weeks interview we have Aaron "Aejones" Jones, high stakes cash game player. Aaron had a lot of interesting things to say, so I recommend the read!

http://www.flopturnriver.com/blogs/f...ones-jones-170

Here's a clip from the interview

Quote:
Most will argue that bets are clearly for value or clearly as a bluff- in my case, I find myself with about a hand a session where I’m just not sure if I’m value towning myself (that is, betting something like second pair for value, where he’s got better hands with some frequency) or value towning him. However, betting just makes it better to balance your bluffs, and the thinner you can value bet or ‘merge’ the more often you can bluff.

nice interview ISF. the clip that you provide above is something i want to talk about. in your easy guide to aggression, you say
Quote:
Try to play in such a way that easily defines your value bets and your bluffs
which seems in direct opposition to Aaron's thoughts. on one hand, it seems way better to actually know if we are ahead or behind, but if we are value betting so thin that we don't know for sure if we want to be called or not, doesn't that make us harder to read? i need to think more about which is better, but what did you think about his comments?
ndultimate.
