see title. Im going to get a plasma/LCD from onecall.com with stars gift certificates. Im leaning towards LCD right now because there a bit cheaper. the only requirements are it has to be 42", have 1080p resolution, and cost between $1k and $1400. Here is the one i think is the best offer right now, and they just dropped the price on it in the last week.

Wow that's sick. I used the Stars 1k Future Shop gift certificate to get that same tv only 32' and I love it. Built in dvd player it came with is very smooth as well. That price is ridiculous, I paid like $1100 for mine.

However, I would still like to say that Vizios are THE SHIT!!! Cheaper than the rest, and AMAZING picture quality.

That's pretty sick, Bode, nice job.
Seeing that makes me (almost) want to puke in my mouth with how much TVs have come down over the past year. We've got a 52-inch Sony Aquos in our place, when we got it eleven months ago it was $3250. Now it's $1999, I think.
Ohh well, we've gotten almost a year out of it and we have absolutely LOVED it, just like you'll love yours.
Question. Are you going to put it on a stand or mount it to your wall? We mounted ours over the fireplace and I'd recommend that. You'd think you'd want it at "eye level" when you're sitting on a couch, but seriously, who doesn't watch TV from a "slouched" position all comfortable and stuff? The base of my TV is about five feet off the ground, and with the way I sit my eyes are looking straight forward...

you had better luck than me with vizios. I bought a 42" vizio lcd, the hdmi output buzzed, so i took it back. The next one i got the buttons didnt work on the tv, so itook it back. The 3rd one i got the hdmi buzzed and the picture suxxzored compared to my plasma, so i took it back and got a refund. the prices are good, and the newer models look slick also.but god damn they were a pain in my ass.

the jury's still out on this. The way our living room is set up it wouldnt work out that great over the fire place, though i do like the idea. I saw a pretty balla tv stand that basically has a "wall mount" style bracket that sticks up behind it that i think im going to pick up.
