- Kingnat All Naturals - kingnat
- Eric - Eric
- Fortune's 500s - Fortune500

- Forms of Corn - Trashcona
Please discuss any league topics in this thread, thanks.
P.S. We still need to iron out the details with the settings. Right now we have one person who'd like to have an IDP and a few who don't care one way or the other. A few people have mentioned changing the bottom two points allowed to be more punishing(-2, -4 maybe). After doing a few drafts already this year, I'm of the opinion that we could easily have 3WR/2RB a flex WR/RB and a TE position even with 12 teams. What do we think about that? Have I forgotten anything? Discuss

Fair enough, if others feel the same way, post it here, so at least the people who do care can talk amongst themselves without worrying about the others. I'll make sure to post here once things have been figured out so everyone is ready for the draft. The last thing I want is for someone to say they didn't know we were doing PPR or something.

Was there enough interest in a second league? Or has that died a death?

I think there probably is. I'd be interested in doing another, although I have 4 teams on yahoo already(this appears to be the max for some reason). If someone wants to start one they should start a new thread though, as not to mix the two up.

i dont' care about IDP - I brought it up cause I think its cool to be able to have Urhlacher or Ray Lewis or Shawn Merriman and what not - but its not a sticking point for me -
only 2WR's though I think is bad - I think we need to ahve 3 WR spots and keep the Flex position also....there is plenty of talent to fill a roster with 3WR's....I don't think we should have Reggie Wayne as our final WR pick...3 WR slots will make us go deeper and take some chances on guys - with 2 WR we are all going to get stacked up there....
i am ready for the draft though - we are getting pretty close - sad that fantasy football gets me so excited - i must be old....haha

I totally agree. Is it to late to change this? I'll send out a league email and hopefully get some feedback before tonight.
I don't think it would change any draft strategie to much other then going deeper. Thoughts?

as long as its changed pre-draft, it should be fine...but draft is in 8 hours....it says we can only prerank players up to 45 minutes before draft, so i'm guessing before then -
but it does have to be done before we draft - otherwise nothing can be changed

Ok, I'm going to change it now, I think we should be ok. I just don't want to have people pissed off because they didn't know.

Yes, very fun draft. Picking 9th was kinda bleh... and Yahoo Auto picked a couple of guys for me, but overall I'm pleased.
Funny moments:
Gabe shows up in Round 9... looks to see his team sucks, he's pissed and tilting... his make-or-break pick comes... his first selection that could seal the deal.... Neil Rackers. BOOM goes the dynamite.
GMML shows up SUPER late... like last round late.. turns out his autopicked team is pretty damn good...
Moral: It sucks to be Gabe in Free FF.

i had to auto draft myself - I came to check it out after it was over....i had no idea you all would swoop the RB's like that - I've not been to a draft yet where ALL Rb's are just getting eaten up....so I end up with freaking Chester Taylor and Ledell Betts for RB's, with a stellar Adrian Peterson (yeah, the Chicago one) as a backup....wow -
im most amazed by the talent level that you can still get when you get a 1st or 2nd pick - I mean Trik is just stacked up....You get a stud back like Steven Jackson and still end up with a WR like Holt - thats pretty good....

I wish we had stayed 2 WRs, I usually always skimp on them.
I think it was a good draft, I feel like I only made 2 bad picks considering Kenny Irons is on IR and I wanted the NE def so bad I reached to prevent someone else from nabbing them.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

Last year I went RB, RB, RB in one league. Because Ronnie Brown was my first round pick and Rudi Johnson was my second, I felt like I had to nab another second tier RB. In the end, my best RB was Ladell Betts from free-agency.

i don't mind my team - I really believe unless you get a top 5 RB its worth taking Manning and loading up on WR's....at least in a PPR league it is - standard Yahoo scoring it sure isn't....but if my RB's do anything for me i'll be okay -
it all does come down to total points, not best draft - And manning scores a ton and my WR's are very capable of putting up #'s.....so i'll compete -
anyone else surprised Manning didn't go til 11? the guy is heads and tails above anyone else....

Me too. Smaller 14 player teams with only 2 WRs and no flex are funner imo because the free agent pool is more interesting. Still, I think this league is going to be a blast.

Wow, what a huge week for some players and more duds from some of the stud RB's again. Limpin, very nice battle between our WR's, after those first to TD's by Smith I thought I was in huge trouble. Crazy stuff.

yeah, my boys are earning the Quick out of the Gate Slogan pretty easy....they sure fall off fast though
so far i've been matched with the highest scoring team of the week both times so far - hard to get a win that way

how did you guys let me get into the playoffs? I only had Randy Moss this year and I finished in the top 4? I started off the year horribly! but I did win 6 of my last 8 to beat out King & Gorrila....crazy - King outscored me by 250+ pts on the year....now I gotta take down BOC who i JUST beat soundly last week - But really there is no way my team should have made the playoffs....

shout out to myself for winning the FTR league with possibly the worst team ever - The 1 thing I did learn is that I am now CEMENTED in my belief that RB's are not the be all and end all of fantasy football...Unless you can grab a top 3 RB, you should load up on WR's and a top notch QB - that's how I won the league....I got 8 pts combined from my 2 RB's and still beat the team with LT on it....
Trik coulda had me though, if LT had more to play for I guess...he only had an "avg" 100+ yard, 1TD game....
