Ok boys and girls, it about that time again. The 2006 NFL season is coming fast and it's time to lock in a league so we will be ready for the draft. Older, longtime posters have priority in this. I know you love this site, but if you've been here under a month then we probably don't have room for you.
Here are the details:
Draft time/date: Sunday August 20 9pm ET If you cannot make the live draft and refuse to autorank your players, PLEASE do not play. This is a universal good time (except if you live in europe, in which case you don't watch football anway)
14 Team League. I know this is alot, but we have a lot of members on this site and I want to allow enough of them to play. This also allows players to go deep and find players that can make or break a team.
$50 registration fee. This is not only so the winner has more then glory, but it also gives incentive to keep playing and not give up. I hate league where the whole league is inactive by the end.
Head to Head setup with 4 team playoff. I'd do a larger playoff, but having bad teams get 1 lucky week to knock out the best team just isn't fair. This isn't real football, you can't decide if your players start or get pulled because they pwned so hard in the first half.
Modified Scoring. More points for WRs, More points for really good defence, Less points for terrible defence. If you want a full list it's on the league page when you register.
This is a Yahoo League, they have been around and been great for a long time, no reason to change it.
Please POST HERE if you are interested. I'll give it a week and we'll start sending invites out. I wish I could accept you all, but this obviously is not possible.

14 teams is a really weird league size. 12 or 16 makes more sense so you can have conferences with an even number of teams. Other than that I am down.

12 doesn't let enough players in, 16 just kills the player pool, specifically at RB. We don't play with conferences. You play each team once and one team twice. The number of teams in the league is only a factor of how many players want to play and at a limit of possible NFL players.

I'm not sure who will hold it yet, probably Lambchop because I'm sure you all trust him. Also, you will have to pay before I give you the league info, because kicking someone out is difficult.
Please post if you are interested I'm supprised we have so few people so far.

I think Yahoo's interface is dirty and crappy. And to have to pay for live updates in teh games ABSOLUTELY BLOWS.
NFL.com simply can't be beat, unless you're comparing it to a pay site, and even then, it still usually wins.

In short, though, ItDepends is lying. He did not send me any money. I do not have the money. I did not even know about this fantasy league that he was running until after I banned him. I do not follow the Sports Betting forum here, as I know nothing about sports.

It is quite clear he was running the league on this site & was making all the decisions. can't believe he won first in the stars mil then set out to scam 16 people out of $50 per pop. Just scarry what people will do.
