Guys, I was thinking today..
What if got as many people as we could to enter the same MTT? No collusion, just good poker. I'd like to see how many we could put "ITM".
Nothing big, maybe a $10 NL on stars or something.

That would be a cool idea. I hate Stars and I have pulled all of my money out of there but maybe if enough people wanted to try this I might make the minimum deposit bakc in there for just such an occasion.
I really hate that poker room. Everyone there is sooooooooooooo boring I wanna fall asleep between hands.

it doesn't HAVE to be on stars.. most of us have party poker accounts we could do it there too..

Sounds like fun. I would be up for it as well. I am off PP for a while, but if everyone decides that they want to play there I'll deposit a little money to play along. I actually really like Stars....but to each thier own.
Another option may be Poker Room. They seem to have $5+1 and $10+1 MTTs starting every 30 - 45 minutes. Granted there are usually only 100-200 people playing in them, but that would increase the chances of FTR members playing at the same tables. Just an idea....I will play anywhere and I can play most any night from 7-11pm with a couple days notice - just let me know.

weekends suck for me w/ gf and soccer referring.
PP or PS is good for me either client.
I would say any weeknight but Wed and Fri. night.
plus that would be fun all of us playing in a mtt w/ irc open talking crap to each other har har har

If we are voting here I vote for: Poker Stars $10+1 or $20+2
I already see quite a few of us in the daily Stars $10+1 - 7:45pm Eastern Tournament. I am in that one at least 2 days a week, Radashck is usually in it...as is DaNutsInYourEye.
I suppose we will have to decide on the tourney and all meet in the chat room to talk - in a 1000 person tourney it will be unlikely that we wil see each other...until the second hour anyway.

I liked the idea of having an MTT where at least 20 FTR users participate, just to see how we all do, I rather play on stars than party because my party software doesnt seem to work (the tourney lobby doesnt load), any day of the week is good for me, and I agree with Lefou the 5+1 tourney would be the most appropiate one. Even though I have no money Ill get it somehow...

I'd be in. And if there is a vote, I'd vote Stars. And 10+1 seems like a good idea. As long as it isn't an R&A (Ohhh I hate R&As)*

I'd play if its on Stars. And I strongly recommend a $10 or $20 tourney, as the level of play really goes down based on entry level. A $10 MTT compared to a $30 MTT is extremely fishy, so I can only imagine what a $1 tourney would be like. Basically a complete crap shoot I'm sure.

There is a $3+0 MTT on Stars at 7:00 ET. This would accomodate more people if the buy-in is an issue.

That is the beauty of this...we don't all have to be there for every game - we can just pick 2-3 daily touneys and call them the FTR MTTs. We could just say it is understood that the Stars 7:45pm $10+1 is one of them. We just need to pick 1 or two more so that there is a time when everyone can participate. We should meet in the IRC and "check-in" so that everyone knows who is in which tournament - we can the support each other (and trash talk) throughout the tourney.

I agree on the Stars 7:45pm ET $10+1 on Poker Stars. It's at a time most people can make and it's a reasonable buy-in to make it worth while.

If you do a daily, might the FTR guys get spread out too thin (i.e. 2 on Mon, 2 on Tue, 3 on Wed). What about picking preferred days? -- I nominate Tue & Thu since Wed is gauntlet night.

i'm game for this evening at the same time as the ftr500 tourney... that starts at 10pm, so we could simply say to everyone. Log on at 10pm... Join the FIRST 180m $4.40 that opens AFTER 10pm. Don't join the one that is registering people at 10pm, join the first one that opens AFTER 10pm.
Why? Cuz I said so... of course nobody has to do this... but we can give it a shot for anyone who is interested. Meet in #flopturnriver too!
