    In on epic thread.

Do you think players have the right to disallow certain people from certain games just like Annie Duke did with the Epic Poker League? If not, do you think the petition against Howard Lederer in a certain Vegas casino is fair? What is the difference between the two situations in your view?

You have entertained and educated me countless times. My dad and I talk about your epic hand reading abilities and great sense of humor whenever we talk poker. Thank you for putting a smile on my dad's face (and mine) time and again.

There are so many -EV aspects to playing on TV... why do it?

What do the players get offered to play on TV poker shows?

I mean, you're not actors (well...), but you are the cast of the show, so is there an hourly wage you earn while filming?

Are (Were? *sigh*) the TV cash games and shows like Poker After Dark & The Big Game rake free?

What is the greatest challenge to the poker community right now?

What can we, as players, do to improve the poker world?

Bob McKowen on the Fan590 here in TO was calling you out to play HU during a conversation about the Montreal WPT event yesterday. Think you could come knock his cocky ass down a peg or two? hehe.

also, what's the consensus amongst the pros for a new albeit smaller poker boom if the american casinos get their party poker skins?

You're known for having a knack for putting people on very specific hands. Did the popularization of combinatrics and ranges and all that stuff ever make you rethink your approach, or do you still pretty much stick to the instincts and "feel" involved in how granular you are with your hand reads?

Also, are do you often "level" people by lying about what you think your opponent has, or are your poker soliloquies pretty much just you thinking your actual process through out loud?

Finally, what are your thoughts on young hot-shot online players? Anyones in particular you have respect for? Any specific thoughts on nutsinho (it's my understanding you guys used to hook up a lot at 6m tables on PS)?

You're stuck on a desert island. Would you rather be stranded with Howard Lederer, Bill Frist or Daniel Tzvetkoff?

Daniel, what is online poker going to look like in three years? In five years? How many providers will there be and will they still be private entities?

I would love to see DN shirt Frist and just start pounding fists into him Tie Domi style.

Daniel, have you followed the recent TO Blue Jays activities and are you looking froward to spring training since we won't have hockey this year?

Speaking of veganism, I wanted to ask if you have any advice for anyone starting to go vegan, as I'm trying to purge the meat and dairy in my life.

Speaking of food, I also wanted ask, "What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?"

Oh, and speaking of weird things, I did want to know of cool things to see and to visit when in Toronto. I've never been, so my best guess is that it's cold.

I could ask loads of questions but I guess the one everyone wants answered is this.

"What is your secret to your incredible ability to put opponents on certain hands" If you do not want to tell us all what your secret is just pm me and I will not tell anyone else.

Love watching you play and have the highest regard for you for the way you conduct yourself when playing.

Daniel, obviously you've been on the tournament circuit for a long time. How much tougher are the tournaments now compared to 6-10 years ago? Is there a specific year where the jump in toughness was the most significant?

What would you consider to be an "ideal" online poker landscape, in terms of regulation, taxes, software provider(s), etc?

In your Shot Clock video on CardPlayer, you said you'll give a person one tank but on the second you'll call the clock after two minutes.

Those of us playing in smaller events and home games with levels as short as 15 minutes are even more concerned about the percentage of each level that gets wasted when people tank. What is the best way to call the clock on people without looking like the bad guy?

How do you adjust the amount of time you give people before calling the clock when the levels are 15 or 20 minutes as opposed to when levels are an hour or more?

If you had to choose between golf and poker to play for the rest of your life, which would you choose? (Of course we would have to assume you could make a living at golf )

Who's better at golf? You or Phil Ivey? Would he agree with your answer?

Anyway, some questions from me - what's it like being recognised everywhere you go? Does it get tiresome? Are there many places you can go without people recognising you?

who was the most influential person in regards to your success as a poker player?

did you ever have a "make or break" moment, where, had you not run well at one particular point in your career, may not have been a professional player as you are now?

    thanks <3

Default max attainable goals for an average IQ

Hello Daniel I have a very specific question.

Online cash games have gotten alot tougher over the years. What kind of stakes do u believe a person with average IQ could beat. Scenario: works part time , spends 4 hours a day on poker.

    Your educated guess?

What is the coolest thing about poker you have ever learned? (This can be game related, legal, or otherwise).

How do you feel the concept of "live poker tells" is progressing? Is it becoming outdated due to probability theory's increased use in live play? Or is it perhaps absorbing this concept, and becoming even more applicable?

    Howdy.

Daniel, this isn't a question so much as an apology and thank-you.

A couple of years ago, I saw you were playing in Ivey's room at the Aria. You're my favorite player, and I waited for a couple of hours to take a picture with you.

Two months ago, I was diagnosed with a form of high functioning autism. This has put a lot of my past behaviors into a new light. Specifically, I learned that "hanging around for four hours waiting for Daniel Negreanu to finish playing so that I can get a picture with him" is probably not "socially appropriate."

Indeed, many of my behaviors are not "socially appropriate," though I'm trying to work on them.

Anyway, I wanted to A) Apologize for the behavior, and B) let you know how cool it was that you took the picture with me anyway.

    Thanks.

Hi, Daniel! I've been a fan of yours for years!!! I was wondering if you ever play cards just for fun.
  43. #43

    Default Question for Daniel

What do you want your kids to be when they grow up? Would you be ok if they became professional poker players?

What is the one best piece of advice you'd give a novice poker player to take it to the next level?

If you weren't a pro, what would you want to be career wise?

Where is your favorite place to play (physical, not online) poker?

Which casinos have the hottest female dealers and hostesses?!?!

Thanks Daniel, keep up the good work!

What do you think about Baumann's KK hand at WSOP?? When the hungarian shoved over the top in the SB and mucked before her action.. Do you think it was well ruled? I think it is unfair because play from the BB could have been different without that play from the hungarian, so he should 'suffer the consequences' of his action! Still, I would love to have your opinions, thanks!

I tend to forget to pay attention to what is happening at the table. Does it come naturally to you or is it due to the amounts of money you are playing for that keeps you riveted to the action at the table?

    Daniel:

What are your thoughts on Harrington's M vs. Arnold Snyder's True M concepts? In a nutshell, Dan believes that tournament structure does not affect strategy and Snyder believes that M is not a useful indicator unless tournament structure is accounted for.

Also, why are you such a calling station? lol

If you were in a position to do something about it, how would you resolve the NHL lockout? Do you think there will even be a season this year?
  71. #71
On most TV poker, you usually pinpoint someone on a hand that you lose to, and call anyway. While it makes for good TV, it's obviously not super profitable. When you're playing the big game and no cameras are around; do you still make these calls? Do you call mainly just to see if you're correct, or do you call because you feel there's a good enough chance you're incorrect?
