So I'm over at a buddy's room watching the Steelers game when his roommate, a fair weather fan who waits til around week 6 to pick "his team" which happen to be the colts this year, sits down with us. I'd equate him to Dnuts, since they both seem to like to say stuff to try and push buttons but you know they mean nothing by it. Anyway, he's talking about the Browns and how bad we're going to lose, then at the first commercial, he changes the channel to see how the colts did!

Now, was immediatly standing up and physically devouring him and overreaction on my part? Should I have said something like "I'm going to eat you" before I place him in my mouth and ate him? Would any jury in the world convict me on this?

I'm pretty sure commercials are prime time to check scores on other channels because you should be paying more attention to the game than the ticker on the bottom while the game you want is actually on.
Of course it also depends on the situation the commercial came on for. Challenges you can't change the channel ever, and I think maybe injuries to your team, but the rest of them, as long as it's not too long is alright I think.

Finding out how the Colts did during the Sunday might game? Did he miss Primetime? If so, that's what halftime is for. It is also what the f'n crawl is for.

Devour away, sir.

What's wrong with checking scores on another channel at a commercial?

I was watching the Sunday night game and I changed the channel for good.

Too embarrassing.. the talent level wasn't even close.

Yah, I'm also a bit of a Penn State fan through my father. Though, I like them a bit less since they're ranked ahead of my Hokies (and rightly so.)

But the press needs to get their dicks out of Notre Dame's ass this fucking instant.

I'm so glad we're projected to play Notre Dame in the Feista Bowl right now.
