note: if you're running RoboForm you need to update to the latest version for the extension to work

you guys need to look through the addons for firefox. many of these "new" features have been around for a while.
A few addons that I'm still using that are nice:
Adblock plus - obv blocks most ads from appearing
Autopager - on many sites, autoloads the next page so you dont have to keep clicking 'next', just scroll further down (this will eat up a lot of memory if you go too far without loading a new page)
bugmenot - bypass required registration to view content on many sites, just right click and it'll enter a username/password for you from a database somewhere. (not sure how much paid stuff, more for required registration yet still free stuff)
NoScript - blocks all web scripts from running until you explicitly allow them. of course this breaks many websites the first time you visit them, but it takes 2 clicks to allow a trusted site to run scripts forever, so the inconvenience is well worth not getting fucked for accidentally clicking a bad link.
WOT - Web of Trust, just trying this one, somehow it rates the trustworthiness of web sites. I haven't had many sites come up that weren't OK.
Xmarks (formerly foxmarks) - syncs up your bookmarks on all your computers.
Anyone else got any good addons to try?

I use
xmarks - ldo
bettergamil - makes gmail interface better
imagebot - upload pics easily
smart bookmarks - i think this one I use so that there are no names in the bookmark bar
tabmix plus - enhances tabs

Yeah, so if this has been crashing on you a lot and you have a recent vintage HP printer, HP has finally updated their Smart Web Printing plug-in for Firefox (which you don't a choice about installing when you're installing your printer drivers). Install the new version and your problems should be resolved.
Regardless, FU HP. Stop busting things that aren't yours.

Yeah, well I use the Roboform plug-in for the myriad websites that I have usernames and pwds for so I'm switching from Firefox reluctantly, but that's a minor inconvenience. Started using Chrome last night and I like it a lot. One more thing Google is dragging me into its evil claws with.

I've been using chrome for 3 days and I like it so far but, I have no media player plug in? Also FTR will not stay logged in. Every other site is fine but not FTR, any idea why that is.

Yea, I tried deleting my saved password and cookies but as soon as I logged in today and shut down, later on I had to sign in again. FF only did it once in a blue moon.

FF is causing my comp to freeze a lot, already 3 times in the past hour. All I can do is manually reboot, anyone else experiencing this?

Haven't had that problem. I'm switching between FF and Chrome and the worst I get from FF is browser crashes. Maybe list your add-ons?

Looking in my task manager, FF is using anywere from 50k-110k mem Usage. I just reformatted my comp as nothing had alleviated the problem. Before I reformatted, FF was in the 500,000+ range.
I rebooted in safe mode (mozilla safe mode not comp. safe mode) and disabled my add-ons, but there wasn't a change except it uninstalled my adobeflash I guess.

So FTR no longer boots me out but I am having a ton of problems with clicking links in chrome, I sometimes need to click two or three times like Chrome doesn't see the link. Is it a java problem or some other fix maybe? Any ideas?

jyms, if you're talking about FTR specifically I'm having the same problem in both FF and Chrome. I often have to hit the "Stop loading this page" X and then try again, so it isn't only you, but it does seem to only be FTR.

No, having the issue with hotmail and DC as well. FTR is slow as hell again though and pages aren't loading. I have to hit refresh quite often on FTR.
