I need a picture with a res of atleast 5250 x 3450 , if I use this:

is there any way to stretch it and not distort it a shitload? I really want a poster of this, but theres no way Im gonna find a pic online with a res that big.

No, you can't stretch it without distorting it I'm afraid. If you want something that high res, maybe you can go out with a decent digital camera and take a pic for yourself (or ask FTRers nicely to do the same)?

Why do you want a picture of that car???? I mean the newer M5s 2000+ are sweet, but these where still pretty slow cars.

e34 m5's are not slow. The e60 (newest 5 series) is ugly to me, that styling looks good on the 6 and 7, and pretty good on the 3, but terrible on the 5. The e39 m5 is sick, but the point of this is a motivational poster. Ive been looking around for cars that I want in the near future. I first wanted a s60r (awd 6 speed s60 volvo) .. but then I got the luxury bite and I wanted a s500 benz. I also was interested in the c55 amg. The problem is those cars all cost 25-40k, and I just cant spend that much on a car in the next fiscal year. I can get a e34 m5 for 12-15k in really good condition, and then super charge it or turbo it and have a fucking monster luxury sedan. These cars are also pretty rare. I think something like 600 made it to the states. Most people that see a e34 with an m5 badge think its a fake.
cliffnotes: e34m5 is rare, and def not slow, I want one, gonna put a poster of it on my wall for motivation to own fish so I can buy one.

No, you can't. You can't increase resolution. You can increase the size of the image, but definitely not without loss of clarity. You can't create more image detail than is available in the original image. You can increase the size of the existing pixels, but doing so doesn't magically create more pixel info that isn't there to begin with.

Fine
I can make the picture bigger in terms of pixel x pixel dimensions while not losing too much clarity.

There are graphic design methods to increase the resoution of certain images (the above qualifies) without loss of clarity and without too many aliasing effects (using interpolation and other anti-aliasing algorithms, etc...). You can create more image detail than is available in the original image.

I ran boost's picture through genuine fractals instead of just enlarging it in photoshop with the built in resizer.
