I want to keep track of all the movies I have in a database on my computer. What I am looking for is a spreadsheet where I can just type in the name of my DVD and it will add it to an alphabetized list. I don't know how to do this but I'm sure that it is pretty easy for someone who knows excel well. If someone would want to make a spreadsheet like this for me I would really appreciate it.

Sounds like you want an Access Database rather than an Excel Spreadsheet?

It is doable with Excel but Access is a better tool for this sort of thing. What version of Excel do you have? In the past most versions of Office used to have both Excel and Access bundled in.

Well now that I double checked I do have Access. Unfortunately I am even less familiar with Access as I am with Excel.

There is a software called MediaMonley, it's very good for music collections and I think (I'm not sure) it works for movie collections too.

I use DVD Profiler.....several years ago it was free and $25 if you wanted the Hi-Rez images and lifetime updates. Very customizable reports, and if you can get your hands on a "cue cat" bar code reader entering a large collection is a snap
