Only a tiny little cut on my wrist, I got it lifting a big old bit of pipe out the back of a van, I don't know if I cut myself on the pipe or not. I didn't touch the pipe lifting it out, it was wrapped up in a big bag, but the end was sticking out of the bag, looking all rusty and caked in this rusty crap on the inside.
The pipe is for scrap, the scrap company needs to know if its contaminated with anything, which I can find out from the laboratory we use @ work. I ask where its from, they say dunno, I say I need to know.
They ring back this afternoon, its from a hospital, its the wastepipe from the toilets / showers, and will be contaminated with human waste and blood.
Booked doctors appointment already.

this dude, seriously. Your risk is trivial, but why not reduce it even further?
Two stories to make you feel better:
* a barefoot friend stepped on a used needle, user known HIV+
* I was in a car crash and got covered in blood while trying to save a bleeder - i had also been cut in the crash
a blood test is meaningless until >3months after exposure. Both cases described were -ve tests = a good thing!
