My bro and I are thinking about spending about two weeks in Europe. I'd love any advice to people who have been and what to see in the cities we're planning on seeing. We've already been to Spain, Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
Our plan
UK
-London
France
-Paris
-Lyon
Germany
-Munich
-Berlin
Netherlands
-Amsterdam
The thing I fear is this might be too much for a two week trip so the second city mentioned in some countries are currently planned but can be removed (not too sure about Munich vs Berlin though).
Ideas, advice, etc?

Paris kinda sucks. But I guess you still have to go because it's Paris.

Are you going to Europe without visiting the beautiful country of Norway??
Beautiful fjords, beautiful midnight sun and beautiful girls, what more could you want?
On a serious note, you might wanna put Prague on that list.

Prague is very nice. Although I'm Austrian I have a soft spot for Berlin. Amsterdam is great (and I even mean the museums).

Red, this sounds like an awful lot to squeeze in to 2 weeks. I'd want at least 3 or 4 nights in both London and Amsterdam.
Also, I'll join the Prague bandwagon too - very cheap beer!!!!!

you can't get all of that into 2 weeks and have fun without rushing.
Don't bother with Lyon. I would say spend less time in London and Paris because they're ghoulishly expensive with the weak dollar, unless you're balla
Amsterdam and Prague are generally winners. Other interesting places I hear are Kracow in Poland and Dubrovnik in .. Croatia?

yea, put Prague on your list.
Paris is very nice tho´, it´s a great city, unfortunately filled with donks.
Munich vs Berlin is like expensive vs cheap, plainly nice vs rich in contrast, personally i like Munich better.
Drop me a line, when you´re in Germany, guys. Would be great to have a beer or two together.

Stockholm, Sweden is a must. The main attraction is the blonde girls (and the ice bears obviously).

Vienna is one of my favorite cities in the world. It is a large city, yet intimate enough to walk around and marvel at the sites. If you like music, then Vienna is for you.
I suppose it really all depends on what you're looking for while traveling. London and Paris are great cities and certainly France is well-known for their incredible museums like the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. If you stay in Paris, try to stay in the Ile St Louis section (essentially where Paris began.) If you stay at the Hotel du jeu de Paume, you'll be in the heart of the city and will likely pass by Notre Dame whenever you leave or return from your excursions.
I can't recommend Lyon, as I only slept there, but I can certainly recommend a the medieval city called Perouge. It is a small village with only 90 or so residents and it remains a snapshot of 13th Century life (in terms of architecture, etc.) Closer to Paris is the remarkable Mont St. Michel. Essentially, this small city is nestled upon the foothills of the Mont St. Michel Abby, which, from a distance, looks like a giant sandcastle. Best to get there in the morning & watch the city come alive before the crowds appear.
I would also highly recommend Prague. It is another walkable city full of amazing architecture, pubs located in basements and plenty to keep you busy.
Have fun, take pictues and visit some casinos.

God, I am Austrian and haven't even mentioned Vienna!!
Seriously, the train ride between Prague and Vienna is pretty short and both cities are breathtaking. Vienna is just TOP for sitting outside Cafe's, watching girls, drinking beer, taking in the culture, going to theatres/concerts.
Fly into Vienna, train to Prague, train to Berlin, from Berlin to Paris and then to London. I think that sounds like a great trip.

I have been to Paris twice with my Family. So many great things to see and do, but unfortunatley most Parisians seem to be rude, abnoxious arseholes.
I have done the "family trip" to London several times. We will be going back soon. Still so many things we have not had time to visit. Always had a great time. Never had a chance to sample the nightlife.
For eating, drinking (and some other things) Amsterdam is a fantastic location. Have been once on business and once on a stag weekend. Can't remember much, but I have been told I enjoyed myself.
How about Scotland. Our hospitality is second to none. I am biased towards Glasgow, but Edinburgh is great too.
I guess it depends what your plan is. Be a tourist, or just get wasted.

I went to Vienna with my family when I was 12 or 13. My dad lived there for a couple months back in the day, and has a bunch of friends there. My godfather lives there.
Anyway, my dad is obsessed with the city. He compares everything to Vienna, ie "It's good, but not as good as the --- in Vienna."
I also broke my arm there. It is a really cool city though. Friendly people and a great hospital system!

I like this suggestion although you may also have better luck (and lower $) if you fly into Frankfurt and go from there. If you can get to Salzburg while you're in Austria, you'll thank yourself many times over. Do try to get to Vienna though!
Many people will often say Paris has rude, obnoxious people. My experience was just the opposite. Of course, Paris is a big city and, like any big city, people tend to mind to themselves. They aren't going to go out of their way to say hello to a stranger but they will certainly give you directions or help you out if asked. The same would be true in NY, Chicago and LA (and I lived in Chi & LA before moving to the land of happy people in Tulsa.)
I would strongly urge you to learn a handful of phrases for each foreign-speaking country you visit. Start off with the basics of Hello, Thank you, Goodbye, Please & various navigation words (left, right, north, south, etc.) For France, I made the extra effort and learned this key phrase: "Hello. I am an American. I speak only a little French. Do you speak English?" You would be remarkably surprised how (a) stunned people were when they heard me speak, (b) how helpful they became and (c) people were very complimentary on my broken French. I saw a travel host on TV do something I would recommend as well. When approaching a person or entering a shop, say hello in their language and then make a kind, side remark in your language. If they speak English, they will likely communicate back to you in English. If they don't speak English, then they're not being rude, they probably just don't speak the language well enough to comfortably communicate with you. Try to learn something about the customs and the language and you will do well.
Scotland is just gorgeous. My wife and I were married in Edinburgh and found it to be a completely wonderful experience. The people were amazing, the history is rich and the architecture is superb.
It's cool you're going to do some travelling. You will certainly see so many wonderful things, have some great experiences and soon realize people around the world essentially share the same dreams, enjoy the same pleasures and you'll be surpised how universal laughter really is.

Skip munich and France. Go to barcelona and somewhere in eastern europe (prague, budapest are safe choises, lots of other nice places too). London is a must see. You can also come to see me in Helsinki. A nice city but nothing special IMO.
