Post subject: EPL question for the brits

So thanks to the world cup over the summer (I watched almost every game, except for a few early morning ones) and playing FIFA 07 in the EPL league mode, I've made it my goal to watch more EPL (and the champions league) matches on my one channel (FSC) that shows soccer. MLS playoffs are also going on but I don't really care about any of the players in the league except for a few.
Anyways, I would like people's views on the different teams and the overall theme of the league, the bad guys, the good guys, the up and comings, etc. I've decided I'm going to root for Arsenal since they have Henry, my favorite player, and woke up this morning to watch them bend Reading over in a 4-0 blowout. Besides Arsenal, who else are must watches and fan faovrites? I have mixed feelings about Chelsea because I feel like they're the Yankees of the EPL (they've won it alot, correct me if I'm wrong since I really have no idea) but I love their midfield and Shevchenko is a favorite. I also love that they defeated barcelona last week, I hate Barcelona. I also don't like Manchester United that much because C. Ronaldo is a whiny bitch who really pissed me off in his WC showing this year. Rooney is the man though.
As for the rest of the teams, I really don't know much. I'm pretty much indifferent except I will usually root for liverpool if they're on.
Give me some idea of the EPL plz, history and present.

Thx bob. Looks like I'm gonna root for Arsenal and a secondary liverpool/newcastle I suppose. I <3 newcastle beer. I also kind of liked the spurs but it looks like I have to majorly hate them, being Arsenal's rivals and all. Awesome.
