don't buy a cheap one is my advice
I have a Norelco that looks a lot like this:

it does the job but I'm sure I could do a lot better, as I have to go over my face, and especially my neck, a few times to get the job done. My Norelco sucks on sideburns and/or neck hair, too, so I'd probably get something else if you have those...
buy one of the fancy expensive ones and you probably won't be disappointed. sucks to drop a lot of money but it should last you years, and I'm sure you'll save a ton from not having to buy razor blades all the time.

this.
they don't really work for people that can actually grow a full beard (or close to a full beard). I can't grow much of anything on my face except a really dirty looking trash-stache. from pics you seem to have a "baby face" kind of like me, so you'll be fine with a good quality electric.

i have a lot of poblems with ingrown hairs
i have found that shaving with an electric razor under constant running water, say, in the shower, without any shaving cream works great

My father had one like the picture above. I think those work reasonably well and hold up. But he switched to non-electric a couple of years ago. Well, not quite... He has one of those vibrating ones, he claimed the store only had the fancy ones. I think he's just trying to cover himself.
I stopped shaving 5 years ago. I use one of those hair-trimmer thingies once a week or so. Saves 2 minutes shaving every day... that will add up to like hours in 80 years. I think you should consider it. Downside: You look like a rapist.

I have blond hair so I think I'd be ok with an electric razor. Just need to find a good one. I'm going to check out those amazon links

So I have the mach 3 turbo electric thing. I like it. It's a good shave but I want an electric razor for a few reasons.
1) I travel a lot for work. I've had my razor taken a few times by TSA and then had to buy a new one at a pharmacy or look like a hobo by the end of the week.
2) While my hair is thin and blond, there's a lot of it. The trimmer feature is something I want for shaving other areas, like my balls, balls, and balls.
3) Ease and quickness.
4) Did I mention my balls?

I have a cheap Norelco and it doesn't really do that great, I got pretty thick facial hair. I really only use it it trim up after I haven't shaved in a few weeks before using a regular razor.
A lot of electric razors can cause ingrown hairs because they pull the hair and cut it and then the rest of the hair that they pulled goes back beneathe the surface of the skin.

2) Do not use the trimmer feature on your balls.... trust me, there is a large enough gap between the "teeth" and the cutter.
3) I think a regular razor is faster (but you can use an electric while you are doing other things)

there are many of these products, but I have found them to be fairly ineffective, unaesthetic and also fairly time consuming in their application.
nothing beats a shower shave imo
