This was quite a crazy call to get.

I was playing at a poker room today that Doyle plays at.
During some brief chat I asked if he would be willing to do
a interview for some of my students.

I didn't want to be pushy, and just left my number on the
chat board. I never actually expected him to call.

Well, he did. I was speechless, and probably sounded like
a total moron. I'm a trained salesman who always knows
how to say exactly the right thing at the right moment,
but during this call, I was floored, barely knowing what
to say.

The dude doesn't even use caller id...

When I saw the name come across the phone it felt like
I had won the lottery or something. It was quite a
pleasure to hear the old man's voice across the phone,
and I wish him the very best.

So, if we ever actually get a interview done with the man
I'll be sure to let ya'll take a listen....

Peace

Wow, crazy that he would go out of his way like that. Shows why he is one of the original greats and a hell of classy guy that the other players respect.

Extremely classy guy.

I was offering to pay him a load of cash for a interview,
but he was super chill and not worried about it.

I imagine he enjoys the ride as a celeb just as much as
we love watching him.

Good times.

Doyle has earned more respect than any poker player EVER!

If we posted a hand history of Doyle's, there is not a professional, amateur, commentator, or observer who would say that Doyle made a bad move.

The correct move in poker is dictated by what Doyle would do. No other poker player in the world has that right.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.
