so whats the best way to download stuff, ive been using torrents still through utorrent. is there any safer/better way?

same here, but a private server is better or even a private torrent site.

Also download and use a program called PeerBlock. It keeps a blacklist of IPs that supposedly belong to anti-P2P groups and doesn't allow a connection so that you don't upload anything to them.

utorrent + PeerBlock ? Peerblock Site is all the steps I take.

I use emule, torrents are a lot easier and you seem to find stuff easier. Are there any sites now to get torrents?

Is PeerBlock easier to use than PeerGuardian was back in the day?

PeerBlock is a fork of PeerGuardian, the same but still actively developed.
