I was wondering how many of you do this at work? For me, it isn't really an option since even though it's a java client it still has to pass through my company's firewall/proxy servers. That's no good since that stuff is easily monitored.

Do any of you do this and if so, are you worried that your employer will bust you? Just curious.

I have been trying to play at work, but even with a Java client (like PokerRoom) I have not been able to get through the firewall to log on to the sever. If anyone knows a way around this I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Yeldud,

I have to know, what do you do for a living where your work bankrolled your online poker playing?
Thanks,

You disgust me ....... do they happen to be hiring in the Raleigh area? What do you do for them? Do they pay you an hourly rate, plus a portion of "your" winnings? How'd you work this out, you lucky bastard?
Is that guy still part of the forum??

I work in the gaming industry, specifically in strategic development and joint ventures/acquisitions. Given the surge in popularity with poker, my employer was looking at the online world. My assignment was to conduct first hand research. I established accounts at the sites and researched them based upon user interface, customer service, game variety, game availability, quality of play at all levels, rakes, limits offered, etc.

It was tough assignment, but someone had to do it.

If your ever looking for ideas on how to improve interface and/or make a site more desirable, I hope you think to post a thread about it here. Might get a promotion out of the free ideas
