I don't know why I randomly googled "donk" today but it applies to much more than just less than stellar poker players. There are donk cars and donk music and so on.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=donk
I found this one to be the funniest:
The word "donk" was originally for large, badass guys who travel with you in the Australian bush and kick ass for you if anything, man or beast, gives you any problem.
Outback guy sitting on log drinking beer: Cheers Mate!
Badguy: Shouldn't you have bought a gun instead of beer?
Outback guy: No, I don't need a gun I got a Donk.
Badguy seems perplexed: Whats a Donk?
Donk right before he knocks him out with one punch: A DONK!!

You and I should make a movie that includes situations like the example given. It can humorously show the differences between our culture and the Australian one using examples such as the one given. The hero can first meet a girl from America, humor ensues as we get a view of Australian culture, then they travel back to America and it gets funnier as we see him try to cope with living in America.
I think there's money in this exact idea. Maybe room for a sequel.

I don't know if you've ever seen Australia but there are vast stretches of it that are just, like, wasteland. It's almost as if it's a post-nuclear holocaust sort of environment. Very crazy. You can drive for a long time without food, water or gas...no resources whatsoever. I think a cool movie would be if there was this whole society living out there living like a medieval existence but with cool cars and maybe a huge dome where they fight. And whoever controls the gas controls EVERYTHING.
First level thinking, it's a cool movie. Second level thinking, it's like, a statement, man. About oil!

Speaking of movie ideas, I'm thinking about a movie called Captain Obvious. It's about a man with an uncanny ability to state what everybody already knows. I figure if I can get Bruckheimer to come on board, I'll make millions.

If you wanted to make a sequel to that it would have to be them going on a trip back to Australia and having an adventure there involving the outback somehow. That's the only thing that would make sense. But I don't think there is anything there really.
Maybe if the hero had some kind of humorous name? That might help.

I think you mean this: www . youtube . com/watch?v=ufDTDUPZrag
Through the 6 degrees of separation I know (yet have never met) the character called Nugget.
Ironically though from what I hear, he is a donk poker player.
True story.
Oh, I would have correctly posted the link but I have less than 10 posts.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
