everyone with multiple kids I've ever talked to said that the second or third is always easier because you've done it before, your life is already set up around kids, etc.

My 2nd is due in a month, I can't wait.
Other half wants me to get the snip now, I told her I wouldn't as it isn't guaranteed that it can be reversed and I may want to start another family when I'm a little older.

A friend and I were discussing what it was like to grow up as an only child. She had a collection of rocks. Each had individual names, personalities, dreams and aspirations. I, meanwhile, used to spend my afternoons in a little toy van, trundling around the garden with a bag full of envelopes pretending I was a postman posting letters.

this is it, most people I know with kids were still awesome and the same people after kid one, kid two... Just depends on what your goals are, because it's all about the kids at that point. Sports guy had a hilarious rant about the second kid but google failed to find it.
I was an only until 12 but have 1 bro/1 sis. I was miserable the whole time.
Asking people who have kids if they are happy about the second+ one isn't much use because most people don't like to admit mistakes in general and they of course love the second kid. Also everyone with kids wants you in the tribe.
In general it's a topic that no one has an objective/informed opinion about.
