Do you throw things when you tilt? Do you punch things when you tilt? Do you cut yourself when you tilt (the answer to this one better be no...). Well all that is over with, for I have found the ultimate release.

Before:
Thats right, even I; the calm collected boost you all know- tilt. Those are holes punched into my door, yes I did that, shocking I know.

After:
Go out, buy yourself an airsoft gun. They can be found at most sporting goods stores, or outdoors stores. Buy plenty of extra ammo. Now draw out your visualization of the biggest fish, your professor that just flunked you, the pool boy your wife is sleeping with, whatever. Now tape this over the hole of the shoe box, and have a blast. No broken monitors, no broken headphones, no broken bong-- err I mean... anyways you get the idea.

*Tilt is a mentally damaging side effect to losing poker. If symtoms persists it is highly recommended that you seek out professional help.

I've only wanted to break something once following a crappy 4 hour session where I lost 6 buyins to some of the craziest luck I had ever seen. After that I learned to shove the anger deep down so there'll be plenty for when I snap and break something really good or maybe go postal.

most of the time i sit there stunned for a while stunned as the "you are sitting out, please purchase more chips" thing pops up (i hate that sign soo much), occaisionly i do weep and feel a sense of emptyness so much so that my tears leave me a meer spectator of my own stupidity.

Haha, you need this boost.

I used to throw chips sometimes when I played limit. I don't think I've ever tilted to that extent in NL ring / tourneys.

A while ago I was all-in on the flop with the nuts (top set, JJ on J73 rainbow board), someone else had 77 and rivered quad 7's. I yelled an f-bomb as loud as I could possibly yell.

I forgot my entire family, grandma included, was in the other room.

At least I've never broken anything though.

haha, yah Ive screamed obscenities pretty loud before. I have lil kids that live across the street, the families are always out front, my room is in the front of the house, its summer, I dont have A/C in this room. You do the math I always feel terrible after I do it, Im working on it though, and Im getting better. Got runner runnered out of a tourney, Im sure if I won that hand I was in a position to money it, and who knows how much further. However I took it in stride and moved on. I just hope this is a new trend that will carry through to future badbeats.

Losing with top set on the flop has to be the one of the most disheartening things in poker. My grandma was only visiting for my sister's birthday though.

I think i've busted out deep in 4 rebuys and lost tons in cash games the past week, and I'm totally losing my head over it.

I'm taking a break from the tables for a few days myself.

Great thread.

I generally just yell at my computer about my bad luck, but one time I very deliberately unplugged my mouse from the back of the PC, swung it around like a flail, and smashed it against the floor as hard as possible. It broke real nice and made me feel a lot better.
