I are teh 5tud3n7 roxorzs!
I had a boring ass job but no one who worked there had a sense of humor, so I quit that after a few months of cleaning the same spot on the floor.

"Similar to a slow testicular massage with a meat grinder?"
Did you create this poll before or after I started bitching about my job?

I used to have a job I loved but left it to move back to my hometown. I hated my new job. Recently, I got my old job back and I work out of my house in my hometown. It's totally awesome.

I worked as a Web Designer for a while, then the company I worked for went kaput. Being stuck in a small town in Ohio, I didn't have a lot of options, so I took a management position at Lowe's. It pays quite well, but I simply don't like it there. It's a stressful job, but I find no mental challenge to it, so I bore easily. I just took another web design job (working from home... hello to working in my underoos!!) but I'm working out my notice at Lowe's. My last day will be The 28th, then I can move on to happier times.

It's no secret. I hate my job. But that is on the road to changing. My job at the employement agency is dull and lifeless. I have been blowing up at the temps for smaller and smaller reason.
But as of today I was officially offered a job as a chef. Now I can live my life-long dream. I want to be a chef as much as Rippy wants to play pro poker.
Wednesday is my 1st day. And to make it more exciting, they have already told me they need a new menu item. I figured it'd be a long time until I started creating dishes. I hope this is the start of my creativity and not just a test.

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Congrats Humphrind. If I wasn't in grad school I'd probably be in culinary school. Where did you go? Or did you work your way up in restaurants?

My job is low-stress, medium-challenge, straight 40 hr, decent-paying in a pretty relaxed atmosphere. All in all better than average(especially for a programmer), but not really what I want to be doing.
So I guess, somewhere between better than sex and the testicle meat grinder thing.

i work in a factory presided over by women whose philosophies range from "hurry up....and wait" to "if it ain't broke, let's mess with it and see what happens" i think it was in the movie Bruce Almighty, when God(Morgan Freeman) says that some of the happiest people in the world come home from work smelling to high heaven. well, dry that one out and you can fertilize the lawn, i say.

Jobs suck, everyone knows it. The only people capable of admitting it, out loud, are those of us with other options for creating income.

My job as a substitute teacher....is okay. I'm "the cool sub," the one that comes in and doesn't crack the whip, doesn't force the class to be totally silent all hour while they do their work. I treat them cool, so they're cool right back, and I just sit at the front of the room and read a book or magazine all day.
Hopefully next year I'll get a full time position at a local high or middle school. It would be nice to get to know my students (I see on average 500 different students a week), and to actually be able to TEACH.
I'm also a high school baseball coach. Now that job is AWESOME, and they pay me like $3000 for it (I'm just the freshman coach). My summer jobs are also cool, I coach a baseball team for another $3000 and I umpire baseball for a good chunk of change.

Love my job. I get to travel all over the world and in fact, my online poker playing began as a work assignment, so they bank rolled me. What more could you ask for?

If my job as a Firefighter/Emt was a woman. I'd do her doggystyle all day long. :P
I'm at work writing this right now, as well as playing a table at Absolute. Long live Emergency Services.
I will now take questions as well as follow up with a brief autographing session. Thank you. Thank you. You're all too kind.
