Please post all movies that are unbelievably awful and should never be watched. I will start:
The Girlfriend Experience (Directed by Steven Soderbergh, about a high end escort who is played by porn star Sasha Grey)
This movie is so horrible I cannot in good conscience stand idly by without warning people of its awfulness.

yeah sounds about right. I thought it would be great but I just found it boring. I watched it on the plane though for what thats worth. I thought the story was ok at first but I felt it just lacked substance. Like they took 1h and a half or however long it was when it could have been accomplished in half the time. It felt long for the sake of ok this is a movie thats gonna go in theatres it can't be 45 minutes.

i loved stranger than fiction. of course, its not a typical will ferrel movie where he acts like a loud childish idiot (not that its a bad thing) so i see how people might expect the wrong thing from it.

Coraline (saw it recently), absolute monkey balls. Seriously.
I'm not kidding, I actually considered screaming ' Why are we watching this? Fucking newsnight is on currently, I'd rather watch frigging paxman than this utter excretion of a production, omfg'. I held back and just gritted my teeth but meh, a part of me died that day.

The worst movie I've ever seen is probably "Speed 2," but I can't hate on that type of movie because no one ever meant it to be decent in the first place. Out of movies that are actually trying to be good, "Crash" is by far the worst ever. Watching this movie feels like someone is beating your brain with a sledge hammer.

There's this "real time" movie called "Nick of Time" that looked like 24 before Jack Bauer was invented. We rented it and watched it with some good friends. About 30 minutes in, after a couple people made half-hearted this kinda sucks comments, we all just admitted it was horrible and played the rest of the movie as community Mystery Science Theater, pausing/rewinding to mock its horribleness.

Dead Poet Society - easily the worst movie ever made.
Good Will Hunting - I'm sorry Robin Williams, I don't hate you, but
jesus... Gus Van Sant directs a Matt Daemon&Ben Asslick movie... what kind of idiot volunteers to collaborate on this?
Dogma - I like Kevin Smith as a person, but I didn't even make it through this one. When Jesus freaks make a movie about religion, it's bound to fail miserably.
Cloverfield - don't even know what to say. They should have handed out aspirin in the theater. Maybe if you watch lots of MTV you can take it, but I had to look away from the screen a couple of times... it made me feel like a hypnotized chicken.
And I'm really not that picky, I like most movies... but all of the above make Mel Gibson look like a genius.

I like Will Farrell, but Semipro was unwatchable.
I couldn't finish the Planet of the Apes remake.
Fantastic 4 has potential, but the movies are horrible.
I couldn't finish Match Point. I like classic Woody Allen films, but this was waay to slow. Scarlet Johansson is nice to look at though.
I was forced to watch the English Patient (date compromise) and like Elaine from Seinfeld thought it sucked ass.

This post is hard to rationalize. Dogma is one of my favorite movies. I loved cloverfield and have probably rewatched it 4 or 5 times. Good Will Hunting Rocks and I would recommend dead poets society for someone looking for a flick.

I see where you are coming from but calling these movies awful and unwatchable is a bit harsh isn't it? I also hate Dead Poets' Society because of how absurd the ending is, but it's far from the worst movie ever made. Good Will Hunting has a few scenes that don't work but it's a pretty good movie overall IMO. Surely you've seen worse movies than this?

Remind me to not take movie suggestions from Oskar.
The new star trek movie is meh. Not much of a story and a lot of useless scenes.

Gummo. I'd never heard of that movie until someone here posted about it, and it was terrible. "Do not watch this movie it is awful" but if you start watching, you will keep watching it to see how much more fugged up it will get. You wont get those 90 minutes back. Really fugged up movie.

It's the movie version of a modern play, so it's artsy and without much in the way of a plot or point. It's one of those plays people like to say they enjoyed to pretend they're really intelligent and sophisticated.

Never ever ever watch Birthday Girl.
How it got 58% on Rotten Tomatoes is beyond all attempts of comprehension.

The Brown Bunny.
Sure, you get a scene with a real actress giving a real hummer, but it's just not worth it to suffer through 8 minute stretches with no dialogue.

I concur, the first half of Dogma is probably top five (or better) for me for halves of movies....second half is okay, but holy shit not a terrible movie (lol oskar must be a jezzzus freak lol).
Good Will Hunting? I've never sat down to make a list but it'd probably be in my top ten of my favorite movies. I'll stop and watch on TNT or wherever I see it on and watch for a while when it's on.
