Every now and then Blizzard gets together and shows off what various groups have been working on. For the last year or so, the D3 previews have been showstoppers. So excited that the project is no longer super-super-secret.

i just youtubed it.
doesnt strike me as that fun. i cant say i dont like hack n slash because i liked secret of mana and two towers, and i think those kinda sorta qualify. but really, whats so fun about hack n slash? they just seem so monotonous, and for lack of a better word, lame. they just seem like theres little skill involved, unlike games like first-person shooters.
am i wrong?

question for the diablo 2 diehards (i never played D2, and only played limited D1, none online): what's online gameplay like? I used to play ffxi and wow and loved them both, although ffxi was probably made a little too much for the hardcores.

False. There used to be a bug where you could be lvl 1 in hell then you run hell diablo and gain like 10 lvls a run. Otherwise you run trist for a bit and possibly cows like 20+ but meph was never in there... Also, I hope Blizz keeps the same item structure as in D2, where some rare items where way better than the best uniques. I also hope they keep the variable stats, every item with the same name having the same stats is something that I hate about WoW.

I guess when d2 came out I bought the collectors edition. Why? Idk, I was a dumb 12 year old? But either way I just found the d2 sound track. Im pretty pumped to listen to it, def will bring back some memories... thats one thing I worry about with d3 and sc2, the music. Im sure the gameplay will just be an updated polished version of the first games, but the music in d1, d2 and sc were fucking sweet. If they drop the ball here it would ruin the mood of the game completely.
btw I need to find an mp3 of the terran music..

It's kinda funny that since I made this post, I picked up d2 cuz I was bored as shit, and it became one of my favorite games.

I read a ridonkulously complicated theory that the release date was supposed to be Sept 9, 2009. I guess D2 LOD crashes if you are wearing a certain ring and kill Diablo on Hell mode if he drops a Dol rune, and the crash error is a code that indicates this date.

i thought this too while the commercial was airing, but it was called something else(why wouldn't they put Diablo III in the title), and i didn't see a blizzard logo at the bottom of the screen at the end. idk, maybe i missed it?
