What you will need:
1). the Pink Floyd album titled "Dark Side of the Moon". ($7.99 on iTunes)
2). a copy of the movie, "The Wizard of Oz" (as low as $9.99 at some local video stores)
3). A pipe, bong, or some other mechanism for the inhalation of marijuana ($30-50 for a pipe, $25 for a dimebag - great size for a small get together)
Here is what you do:
1). Insert Movie, Queue Album
2). On the third roar of the MGM Lion trailer at the beginning of the movie, start the album. This is fairly important, because otherwise the cues between scenes in the movie and transitions on the album won't match.
3). Get comfy and enjoy.
I suggest:
1). Call a pizza delivery service and ask for some pizza. I would recommend Dominoe's 5-5-5 special. ($21 if you tip well -- i do)
2). A bong. I don't smoke a TON of pot and i used a bong for the first time before this movie. Having smoked J's and Pipes for the vast 2 years of my experience  , the bong was AMAZING. This is a must IMO
3). Some soda ($8-9 for 2 12-packs)
4). Not doing it alone. I am super paranoid and cannot do anything alone when i am high. There are a lot of strange noises on the album, and these will appear to be even stranger when you are ripped. Some good friends are great company.
I don't know if everyone else on the planet has done this, but i just wanted to throw it out there since this brought me ridiculous entertainment. I will be doing it again soon!
I don't know how on earth someone figured this out, so if anyone knows i would really appreciate you posting it!

I've heard watching that is pretty amazing, and you can also buy a dvd if someone who already has it pre-synched. I want to watch this.

Also, if you look in the forest when they're walking down the yellow brick road at one point (I forget where) you can see the silhoet (sp??) of a munchkin hanging himself in the distance.

I've done this, it is cool. Apparently it wasn't intentional and Pink Floyd claims they couldn't have watched the film in the studio even if they wanted to sync them up.
Another really cool one is watching the last 20-some minutes of 2001: A Space Odyssey while listening to Pink Floyd's Echoes. There isn't much crazy lyrical sync'ing like with Dark Side and Oz (b/c Echoes doesn't have many words and the end of 2001 is a lot of weird trippy imagery) but the music fits the images well. And this one might have been intentional b/c Kubrick asked Floyd to do the soundtrack for the movie and the length of the final "chapter" of 2001 and Echoes is exactly the same. Google it if you're interested.

apparently it onlyt works properly if the lion at the beginning is in black and white, and not in colour, according to wikipedia. tried it a few times, first time i was plastered, was AMAZING.
second time i was sober, it was bollocks. (was a DL'ed presynched one)

Dude, there is no way this wasn't intentional. Maybe if i watch it not high it will seem more like a coincidence, but i seriously doubt it.

I hate to disagree with Wikipedia, but this definitely worked even though the lion was in full color.

Cut down your costs. Download the album and movie fore free. Oh ya, find a new way to get pot. $25/g is unheard of, that's 1/2 qr. price.
