With the upcomming US elections and the constant coverage we are getting of it here in the UK I was wondering what was the views of the Americans on this site of the Bush and Kerry contest.

Over here most people think Bush is extreme right wing and a bit of a fruit cake (thats UK for slightly mad). Even the Conservative party is publically stressing support for Kerry.

I've added an opinion poll to get an idea of the support for either party within the poker community.

Well I like Bush as a person but maybe not as a president. I'm still voting for him because I don't like Kerry at all.

Bush just cracks me up !!!!! He is so funny and says such dumb shit it makes me smile and laugh!!!! I just like that he seems to be more of a normal person and doesnt ever seem fake. If I was to pick one to just have fun with it would definetly be Bush. I actually saw a book at Barnes & Nobles once that was called like Bushisms or something and was filled (like probably 50 pages at least) with all the stupid shit he has said over his career. I like him myself Obviously I know everything I just said shouldnt have anything to do with picking a president.

Then again I would have voted for Arnold in California, but hey, he won so a lot of people agreed.

Oops I just realized this should have gone in the other post. I was just browsing a lot of topics at work and at a quick glance thought this was seperate.

Difference between Bush and Ahnald is that Arnold is an incredibly intelligent man, who has laid the foundation for the policy fixes required to get California's economy out of the Sh#tter. If the constitution was amended so that Arnold could run for president, he would win by a landslide. He is close to the perfect leader, he uses his popularity to push through difficult policies that people would normally reject.

And Geeftr, what do you think will happen if Bush wins this one (God forbid). Will Hillary run next time?

Bush all the way, main reason The man has character and morals. Kerry has about as much integrity as an ant IMO... his "off camera" remarks are enough alone for me to not vote for him.

As far as issues go, Bush atleast has a plan. Kerry thinks he's moses and will perform miracles (to which i'm sure he will perform a counter miracle to 6 months later when he changes his mind). He lacks vision, integrity, and is nothing more then a gloritized puppet.

I don't think it was geeftr's intention to bash Bush or the U.S.
