Just get Windows XP Pro from someone. Then you don't have to worry about all those hardware changing restrictions and activation BS.

You can find someone with a copy of XP without the security protection, but that's against the law. If you don't care, you should do it.
My sig is too much for you to handle.

Yeah if they dont let you do it online, you can always do the activation over the phone.

I actually have XP Pro on my computer. I bought it at a garage sale last year. About a month or two ago while it was doing one of the security updates, I get a pop up saying my version of XP may be a counterfiet version. Now theres a little symbol in my system tray that pops up with the message every 5 minutes or so. Just a tiny pop up down by the system tray, nothing annoying. But everytime I restart my computer I get the message asking me to go to microsoft homepage to resolve the issue. They want me to pay for a new activation code. Heck I only paid $100 for the computer, Im not going to spend another $150 or whatever for a new code for my XP Pro. The computer doesnt run bad or anything because of it, so I'll just chug along with the little pop up and not worry about it.
