Does anyone know about what the deal is with Click2Pay for US residents, specifically how it works for Full Tilt users?

Although I'm sure many many people in my position use C2P, it seems weird that you can only create an account via Full Tilt's software. Even if it's technically possible, C2P explicitly says they do not permit account for non-US residents. It seems like this could cause problems down the road with C2P (not necessarily Full Tilt) when I try to get my money from them.

From what I can tell there aren't any other cashout methods at FTP that do not incur a service fee, no? Again, I'm live in the States so Neteller, ClickandBuy, etc., will not allow me to have an account, and credit cards will not work either.

(Btw, sorry if this is a questions that's already been addressed. Forgive me -- I'm a newbie.)

Huh? What does that mean?

Also, when you say you don't know FTP, are you saying just that you don't play at Full Tilt, or just don't know about this issue? Cheers.

That's just an admin/mod being weary of a person with 0 posts walking into his forum talking about things like "click2pay" which i know absolutely zero about. So im asking other common posters to lemme know if you might be a spammer of any sort.

click2pay and ftp have been around a long time, I don't think either would pay someone to spam.

Of course if this ends with someone asking/offering money transfer services then I'd be thinking 'scam'.

Damn you're fast!

If you can't snap ban him then no-one needs to take his place, no?

Guys, seriously, what are you talking about? Was my original message really spam-like? Maybe I was under the wrong impression that issues w/ online poker sites, etc., can get talked about here. If there's another section in this forum or if this kind of topic just doesn't get talked about at FTR, then I'll look elsewhere for advice. Yes, I this is my first post, but I really didn't think it was that weird. Sorry if it was.

Ok, your right, sorry. I just check and there is not fee technically, but they only will cut check (not eChecks, mind you) for a $100 minimum and they have ID requirements (see below). This is quoted directly from their payout page on their site:

Quote:
You can also request a withdrawal by check if your cash out is between $100 and $5,000.

As a valued player on our site, we want to ensure that your account is as safe and secure as possible. To assist in protecting the integrity of your account, we ask that you verify your identity and account information before you can request a check withdrawal.

To confirm your personal and account details, please provide us with clear and legible copies of the following:

* Photo ID - We accept any valid driver's license, passport or other government-issued ID that clearly shows your date of birth, and ID's date of issue/expiration
* Proof of Address - We accept copies of bank/credit card statements, utility/cell phone bills, or home/auto insurance papers issued in your name and dated within the past 60 days
OK, maybe I'm dense, but I'm just surprised that the the second most traffic'd online sire right behind Poker Stars played the hundreds of thousands of players out there (many I assume who are in the US like me) are jumping through hoops. I mean, I know they are obviously totally legit, but it just seemed weird ... especially with their offer for a Click2Pay account that is not at all condoned by C2P. I dunno. It's funny, that's all.

You seem to be under the impression that FT is encouraging you to create an account as an American. Why do you think that? Did you get an email to that effect or something? Sure, through the FT cashier, you can set up a C2P account but you can set up Neteller and Moneybookers accounts through the FT cashier as well. But if you're American, obviously you shouldn't bother even attempting to sign up for any of these. None are options available to you...the FT cashier links are there for non-Americans, of course.

No yourfather, the $100 minimum policy doesn't really bother me. But part of my (real) job requires a LOT of travel; I basically have 3 different places where I live, and 2 of them have other people there too, thus ol' fashioned post mail can be a hassle ... blah blah blah. So If I'm going to play at Full Tilt, an ewallet is the only option. The point is, assuming there are plenty of other US-residents out there who don't want actual checks sent, I'm trying to figure out the Click2Pay option.

But I'm mainly responding here to BennyLaRue mainly who wrote:

Well Benny, here's the bizarre & weird thing. When I asked FTP directly about this, here's one of the many automated non-responses I got via email:
Quote:
Click2pay is exclusively available to you via the cashier on Full Tilt Poker. Click2Pay is a processor offered to players from the USA that allows you to transfer money from your credit/debit card and place it in a secure online account. Using that account, we can quickly accept deposits and send withdrawals.
But in the very next email, they completely contradicted themselves and offered this piece of nonsense:
Quote:
While Click2Pay did suspend the creation of new US accounts through their site, they always continued to support their existing US customers and allow them to transfer funds to and from their Click2Pay accounts as desired.
All I get are these kind of robotic offerings!! What no one at Full Tilt can give me a straight answer on is how this would work sine I'm NOT an existing user. If I signed up through them, I would be a NEW user -- a US citizen opening a new account, signing up through Full Tilt, who does not have a pre-existing account. This seems like it would be a violation of Click2Pay's guidelines, no?

(Btw, when I emailed C2P, their reply back was short & sweet ... & straightforward: "Unfortunately it is not possible to register with CLICK2PAY as a US resident.")

So WTF, Full Tilt?!? And to any of you U.S. players who play FTP and don't want checks sent: what do you all do?

p.s. a500lbgorilla & HalvSame ... enough already about freakin' the spam thing! This is an honest-to-goodness question from a curious user.

Pokerstars was doing this for awhile and thats how I signed up for a Click2Pay account as a US Resident. I have never cashed out from click2pay, and have only used it as a way to move money between sites, but I have never had any serious issues with them. And no, Im not sure how FT or Stars are allowed to have signups at these sites, but it has and does happen and c2p seems to be cool with it
