OK, so I just finished my first solo game.
It's definitely different than past civ's, but seems pretty awesome so far.
I only played on cheiftan to get the hang of the new game and I easily demolished the AI. Domination victory, which this time means you are the last person with your original capitol city.
So....who's playing? I never played past civs against humans, but I want to now.
On Steam I'm Hawkfan79, so add me.

What's the problem with it? It's got a few minor things that have annoyed me, but nothing that shouldn't get patched up pretty quickly.
Most of the complaints I've seen basically come down to "It's not civ4"

Wtf, I've been playing civ's religiously since the first one and this is the best one yet. How is it unfinished?
I absolutely love the new combat and the hex map, now if only we could also have ZoC.

Civ 2 was a finished product. Still has massive playability.

So you click their picture and then you get their money?

I was going to wait until a couple of patches in to get it but looking at the specs, I don't think my two year old laptop can even handle it.
Sucks.

You know what else was a finished product? Your mom.

Yeah, but she's a classic.
Your Mom is so buggy I couldn't even finish one level before exiting. Last week, I saw her in the $4.88 bin at Wal-Mart.

+1
1 unit per tile alone puts this game well ahead of any of the previous civs.
And I havnt noticed anything particularly broken yet.

The only features I really miss so far are tech trading, the graphs, and having the list of civs and their scores on screen at all times.
I do wish hammers were easier to come by, and the food resources don't seem to matter much.
