man, when I saw ronaldo miss that penalty I just knew there was no way it could end like that.

did any united fans think it was just perfect that an englishman was stepping up to take the penalty to win it? i knew there was a great chance john terry would miss, can u imagine if it had been ballack stepping up for that one?

didnt think it was a great game though really, or maybe i wasnt paying enough attention (good overlay on donkament at that particular time!) seemed like the standard chess match, i saw when chelsea hit the woodwork all those times though, I lolled. I just don't think Chelsea deserved it all season, united are the far superior team

uhhhhhhhh pantherhound wtf it was and amazziiiingggg game.

I predicted in early in extra time that it would go to penalties and Ronaldo would miss but then I'm a psychic. I walked into the centre of manc afterwards and it was just incredible, everyone going crazy. Awesome game!

I was 100% sure Terry would score his pen.

But when he missed I was 100% sure there was no way we'd get another chance, and that time I was right

Of course it was evens! I think a game like that has to be 50/50 even if Utd do edge Chelsea on paper. Gambooool

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!

I have absolutely no sympathy for the bullying racist little prick.

No seriously, it was a great game, as gooder cup final as I've seen.
I did think it was all over at 4-4 with only Chelsea to take, then Terry steps up and am like, WTF?!!?! Like, Anelka's an out and out striker, and your centre back is taking a penalty? Grant is a tactical moron in my opinion, if he cant even get the line up for a penalty shootout right.

JT decided himself that he would take the 5th pen, not Avram.

Yeah I guessed that, just seemed so, random?!?! I dunno why on Earth he would want to take a penalty, and why Avran would let him take a penalty, when there are better qualified players already on the pitch.

After 5 years living in the UK i still can't see why people like soccer more than football or hockey (that's 'American' football and 'ice' hockey for those who don't know).

The best thing you can say about soccer is even though it's as tediously boring as baseball the games only last half as long.

american football, for the vast majority of players involved, is comparable in mechanical skill to accurately wiping one's ass, whereas soccer offers incredible displays of finesse. also, the ratio of action to inaction in soccer is probably 20 times greater than that of a football game.

there's not even much to say for hockey. You can't do anything cool or fun with a stick and a puck. it's just a dumb sport.

Seriously do you really think soccer is a good game? Do you even have the remotesed understanding of hockey or football? if you live in Europe I don't think you do.

I'm one of those guys that likes all the major american sports (i.e. american football, baseball, and basketball) but I think hockey and soccer are kinda cool in their own ways. I rarely watch either but I have and don't mind them.

I think what I like about american football, my favorite sport by far, is the sheer complexity and teamwork required relative to all other sports. That and people get hit, and hit hard. Really though, what everyone likes is so subjective and is influenced immensely by your upbringing. If I were born in Europe, I'd almost certainly be a huge soccer fan and football would probably be an afterthought.

1. because he is my favorite poker pro and i model my game after him
2. Yes I do, along with most of the people in the world. In fact, we think it's the best game.
3. Yes. In football, you try to get one person on your team to possess the football in an endzone which your opponents defend. If that fails, you have to decide how far and accurately someone on your team might be able to kick an oddly shaped ball. In hockey, you try to hit a puck in your opponents net. Only because its a puck, its movement is mostly 2 dimensional rather than 3 dimensional so the tactics are much less interesting. And because you are on ice and using a stick, all navigation and puck directing becomes much more awkward and unnatural. So its a lot like soccer except uniformly worse.
4. I lives in the New World!!!!111111
5. Yes, I'll play you heads up at any stakes at either NLHE or LHE.

good post. i kind of understand america's impatience with futbol. it would be really cool if america got into rugby and it became a worldwide thing, i dont see why it couldn't.

Yeah I think he will. Most major interest is coming from Real Madrid, what have they achieved this season in comparison to United that would make him want to leave? European and Domestic Cup double? Nope.

And I wasn't trying to hijack the thread - just going on the "soccer" term.

Lawlz lets call it football when hardly any of the players use their feet.

Priceless.

He's achieved all he possibly can achieve at Man Utd, 41 goals in a season, champions league and premiership double, and he's wot, 23? I can see him wanting to leave just for a new challenge or something. Then again he might feel loyalty toward AF & Man Utd etc etc.

£200,000 a week is awful hard to turn down though.

I really really really don't want him to leave cus Man Utd'll be after Berbatov then

I used to watch american football when I was younger (like 8 or something), and I didn't have a clue what was going on. Football, easy to learn at the same age. The complexity of american football hinders it.
Football is so much more accessible. I used to play a game on saturdays, cost me £7, 11 vs 11, full size pitch, qualified referees, and i'm playing exactly the same game as Ronaldo et al. I can emulate my "hero's" and that has a certain appeal I think.

No Driving Dog thinks nutshinho has a little penis who response to anyone who criticises him about anything is to make a list ending with a challenge to a HU match. The only other time I interacted with him (see link) he did the same. It appears he can't respond to criticism in any other way, which I find rather mockworthy.

btw Will, I don't like the tone of your post. HU for rolls. LOL.

No Driving Dog thinks nutshinho has a little penis who response to anyone who criticises him about anything is to make a list ending with a challenge to a HU match. btw Will, I don't like the tone of your post. HU for rolls. LOL.
Please plays nutsinho heads up so I can lol at how fast you lose your money.
