CBA = collective bargaining agreement

It governs the NFL. Trades, draft, salary cap, free agency, minimum salaries, revenue sharing, 401k plans, etc

All this nonsense being said, I think this is great. The NFL would have been HORRIBLE without a cap, iwth some teams just never having a realistic chance to win. Who wants that?

I totally agree. If you could buy a season ticket, I would and watch 6-8 games a week (TIVOed of course). No agreement would have left the league in worse shape than MLB. I didn't even watch the playoffs this year. Free agent? They're going to Boston, NYY, NYM, Anaheim, or if they're unlucky Baltimore. That's entertaining.

I would have had to shift my favorite sport to the [shudder]NBA[/shudder]. I like it and all, but it's not a primary form of entertainment. Don't try and sell me the college angle. They're not as athletic, don't have the preparation time, and are more unbalanced than the NFL would be without a salary cap.

Hooray, NFL!!!
