I've been having horrible luck with poker lately so i decided to take a break from it and start casino whoring because i heard it was extremly easy and with bonuses it's suppose to be a pretty good deal.

This is my journey and it's been oh so fun.

starluck: -$100
Planetluck: $0
Casino-on-net: +$100
Bet365: +$300
Playtech Casino: -$200

At playtech i read that it was 100% matching bonus up to 200 dollars but the website failed to mention it was a sticky bonus. So after 8 hours of playing i was about even with 400 only to discover i can't withdraw my 200 bonus. I decided i didn't think 8 hours for nothing was worth it so i kept trucking ahead. In 45 minutes i was completely broke. This is at 4 dollars a bet. Most horrible run of luck i've ever seen.

Guess bad luck in poker doesn't mean good luck in other endevors.

Anyways, i wanted to know what other people's experiences with casino whoring has offered them.

oh and when i have a double down 20, and dealer gets an 8 card 21....that's just ridiculous.

too lazy

i don't mean that in any personal way

You could have read one of the many topics that have been posted on this subject. Or you could go to one of the many excellent forums that are available on this topic. Then you would know that playtechs mainly are stickies. When you found out it was a sticky you would also know that you play a sticky not by $4 bets but by betting an amount about 10%-20% of your bankroll, and further that your best chance is blackjack switch.

You would also know how many of the FTR members did with casino whoring.

It's not hard, it doesn't require luck - just a bit of diligence and discipline. In this world there is no such thing as a free lunch

i did read posts.
i read lots of posts here and at 2+2.
i read your blog.
i read everything about bj on wizardofodds.
i read other websites on blackjack odds/strats.

Although i did miss the sticky bonus on playtech, i wasn't lazy.
I did read about the bets you need to make for sticky bonuses and i did switch to big bets after awhile.

But you saying it doesn't require luck makes me laugh so hard...
Either you are accustomed to having good luck or accustomed to not having bad luck, but luck is a huge factor for me. Hell, my friends call me bad luck. Luck matters.

Anyways, i guess i was just venting as i am doing now also.
I appreciate your post.

It's just that...
I'm not lazy. mmmmmk.

sorry for being grouchy as i said i don't mean a personal attack i was in a bad mood. that said, there are so many well established threads that we really didn't need a new one asking "how are you guys going"?

my 2c: over the short term you need luck but when you clear all the bonuses... i've wagered like over $300,000 and my profit is just about bang on the EV of my bonuses

forum is not a bad place 4 venting i guess i was doing the same.

good luck

There is a hierarchy of casino bonuses. You happen to bomb on two of the easiest bonuses, then manage to find a sticky bonus, which takes an extremely rational head (because you can bust so many. )

(Stealing from EasyT...) In cash poker, you have to put your chips in the middle when the odds call for it. And when you lose anyway, you have to pat yourself on the back and tell yourself you played good poker, even though you lost that hand.
Casino bonuses are the same -- the odds call for you to make the bet. You got sucked out on holding AA (CON) KK (the Lucks) and 87off (sticky bonus). You might keep playing. Or you might quit. It's up to you. If you keep playing, examine your play, just to make sure you're giving yourself your best opportunity to win. Sorry about your negative experiences.
In direct answer to your question, my casino experiences have been great. At CON I am running 10:3, profitable sessions to loss sessions (they offer reloads.) I'm glad I didn't lose my first 3 times out.
Better luck to you.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.
