Wow that does look phat as hell. I was pissed cause my hard drive died like a week ago and it had all my HL2 saves on it and I was like 85% through the game. I dont really want to start over. This reminds me of that in terms of detail. May actually look a bit better.

what system are you running TM?

Im running a 3200+ 9800xt and 512mb 333. Sadly I had to clock down my processor cuz my computer overheated in the summer and when I clock it to the proper speed, the computer reboots on its own, sometimes not even getting inot windows.. so something with the mobo or some shit is fucked up. also I thought I might have a virus so I reformatted to no avail, also deleting my hl2 saved games!!! NOO!, and I sure as hell dont want to start over again. Im sure theres somewhere where yo ucan download saved games, or a cheat to skip ahead.

I have a 64 3200+ too - never had a problem with the processor

mine isnt 64, doh! need to upgrade soon anyways.. I think first Im gonna buy some crazy expensive laptop though, cuz if I have money to buy all the latest shit, Ill have money to travel, and it would be fun to be able to play through like most of hl2 inflight. Finish it up in like a trip and a half. I always miss out on the single player part cuz I just get ADHD and hop online to pwnz som3 f00lz! Id probably enjoy a lot of slower paced games too, if I couldnt get online for several hours at a time (traveling), like civilization, and that sorta stuff.

We should get a server up when that game goes live. I haven't played a shooter seriously since maybe CS or DoD. This game looks very good.

yea, for real. You just need self control. Play when you have nothing better to do. Never let a video game stop you from doing something IRL.

I had the same problem about a year ago. Try getting a better heatsink and fan, or at least take the current heatsink/fan off, clean the thermal paste off both sides, then re-apply some new thermal paste and remount it. Also, make sure there's enough airflow in and around your case. If you have it in an enclosed space, try moving it out.

EDIT: Sorry for bumping a week-old post...
