Anybody dealt with anything like this. I am having some issues with concentration. I am not sure if it's from spending so much time in front of the monitors, or just adapting to the new "career" at home. My sleep schedule has been erratic to say the least, and i haven't missed more than 3 days of playing since Aug 10th. I did start to notice this before leaving work, after years of working shifts, and playing poker during off times. I don't retain the same when I read, I don't have the best memory anymore, and sometimes I just end up losing my train of thought. I don't think it's just starting, but it's becoming much more noticeable since moving from a job that I could do with my eyes closed, except for the approving colours part.
Would you chalk it up to age (43), work environment (solvents) or lack of sleep, nutrition and mental breaks? Is there anything I could be missing? I find this happens mostly in the mornings, or later afternoons. I started taking Ginkgo Biloba to help and it does. Any other experiences?

No, not at all. No sports of any kind for over a year.
Hmm, interesting, you thinking blood flow?

i think staring at the monitor must play a part.
I spend all day at work looking at figures on a screen, then when playing poker the same.
really fucks with my sleep. I try and do some exercise (play football or go for run). get some air and get the blood pumping.
My memory is frigging awful, though i mainly put that down to the funny cigs i smoked when younger!

Yep. And breaks from staring at your monitor every 2 or 3 hours.
