I just never understood the draw to being a doctor or a lawyer. Tons and tons of school, more than anything else, and then you work tons and tons of hours.

schools not bad, espeically if you enjoy learning.
lots and lots of school shouldnt really be a negative.
Ill be done with school when im 23. Doesn't sound that bad to me.

Most jobs require alot of hours. It just so happens that doctors and lawyers get paid alot more for it.

Both can be highly profitable in the right situation. You take the wrong job though and you work a lot more for a lot less.

the whole school outlook totally depends on how much you actually have to work to be a good student.

I was fortunate enough that I didn't have to work too hard so once I got out of highschool, school was always a blast.

Lawschool is nice cuz it is only 3 years (or less if you are a supershemale like me). The first year involved quite a bit of work because you need to do well to start since it's all based on a curve and it's really hard to fight your way to the top if you start off at like 50%. After that it's easy, cuz you know where you are and either don't have a chance so can just say screw it, or you are doing fine and can just sorta maintain.

The nice part about a law degree is that you can decide to work a jillion hours and make a jillion bucks, but you also have the freedom to work like a normal 40 hour week and get paid just a little bit better than most people working 40 hours a week do.

Med school on the other hand, involves a lot more work during school and there is no sush thing as a resident (the 3-5 years after med school) who works only 40 hours a week. Then again, most doctors are type A personalities who are workaholics anyways...
