Hey all,

I'm new to the bonus whoring and rakeback possibilities. There seems to be a number of possibilities, but I'm in a bit of a pickle as I dont really have that much investment capital to start with.

If I dump my holdings at Pokerroom and put in these weeks investment, I can muster about $75. I'm looking at suggestions for the optimal method to build this BR up with bonuses and rakebacks. I can usually put in 3-4 hours online a night, and a fair bit more on the weekends. Where should I start? Anyone have any plans/suggestions for me to excelerate a serious bankroll buildup?

To get the most out of bonus whoring you need to be getting the maximum bonus amount. To do this you need a decent sized bankroll. I suggest staying at one site and build up your bankroll to at least $500. This is the minimum amount you need to take advantage of the sign up bnuses at most places.

I'm a fan of Ultimate Bet's Bonus System, but I don't have that much experience with other sites. UB is offering a 40% bonus so with $75 you'd get $30 in Bonus (or a 50% bonus if you list a referrer). You work that off through getting points for playing in raked games. Depending on how many tables you play at, that could go by in anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks.

Definitely check out the other sites mentioned above and go with whereever you find the best deal. In almost all cases, the more you can deposit, the more bonus you'll get.

What's the downside to Rakebacks?

I am a bonus whore and I post most of the time at bw.com. Go to the site and look under the Bonus section. Gonzo has published a guide to bonus whoring. It is the model we all used to get started.

Granted you have the ability to play break even poker, this seems way too easy to make money.$1000 US is just under a months wages for me...even if I never did end up using the BR and withdrew it all, it sounds too good to be true.

I suppose the trick is to break even, no?

I started with $25 and got to over $900, but granted that is much more than break even play.
There are enough bonuses to get early on that will get you rolling. The pokerplex bonus I can usually clear in two hours, so thats $50 but gameplay. Last time it was INCREDIBLY soft.

Also, gaming club was not too difficult to clear, if you have the bankroll.

the best bonus i had was when i went to pacific poker... around halloween 2004, they had a promotion where i got $150 for each person i signed up... so i signed up 3 friends, got my bankroll to around 600, and worked fromt here...

in the beginning, i deposited 50... got 25 bonus dollars, plus 20% on my deposit... so rite there i had 85 dollars...

from that, now i have over 22,000 in profits in less then 4 months (granted, i won $3,000 and $17,000 in two tournaments alone, but i was still up over $2,000 off my original $50 deposit...
