I know there's been a few that I started on certain games but I'm going to keep this as a log of what I'm playing and I'd like to hear what others are playing.
I haven't had a lot of time to play lately but I was able to finish Red Dead Redemption kinda sorta. Is there an official end? I rescued my family and now they want me to catch steers which bores me.
I stared playing RDR: Undead Nightmare which is pretty damn repetitive and yet I find myself loving it. Something about gunslingers and zombies.
I picked up dead space and dead space 2 this weekend. I only got about an hour into dead space this weekend but I love the game. I also find it impossible to play without being scared shitless the entire game.
I'm noticing I buy a ton of single player games that cost me a lot of money and don't have that much replay value (ie dead spaces). Anyone looked into gamefly? Worth anything?

You need to finish RDR, trust me. You won't be herding cattle and shooting crows the whole time.
Deadspaces look cool but really no time to play them at the moment.

I haven't had time to play my xbox in a long time but the must play single player games are:
Fallout (3 and Vegas) (and Oblivion)- Amazing western first person rpgs Oblivion is old but probably my favorite game ever
Mass Effect (1 and 2)- Space Voyaging 3rd person shooter rpg
Bioshock (1 and 2)- Underwater "atlantis' gone corrupt with drugs and psychos fps
Assassins Creed I II and Brotherhood are supposed to be decent too but idk.
And for multiplayer Black Ops is great but Gears of War 2 is my personal favorite.
(Haven't gotten to play most of the sequels to the single player games yet, but I own them and wouldn't doubt they are good.)

Played all of those. Didn't get far in mass effect but I know I need to go back and play them. I thoguhtthe last two fallout games were amazing. Did they ever release dlc content for new Vegas?

Only about 1/3 through RDR and haven't played in weeks. Really need to finish that game but work, family and grinding are priority. 
NBA2k is hella fun.

I used to love video games but since starting playing poker 5 years ago I have not got that itch back. I can't seem to find either the right time, or games to get that feeling back to play anything for a serious amount of time. I will figure this out, because now the games and the audio/video alone make it so much more than when I last played a serious shit ton

I pretty much only play single player games (I've played most of those that Joehaw listed). I can't wait for Skyrim!!!!
Cracker - I also play Forza 3, though not as much as I played the first one. I pretty much suck at it, but still have a blast. I used to have a wheel for the original xbox for Forza and found that that makes a HUGE difference in terms of the fun level, and for me in terms of my lap times. i have Gran Turismo 5 but haven't had much time to play it. Highly recommended if you have a PS3.

I am big Fall Out 3 fan. Not play New Vegas yet. Just picked up a cheap Elite a few weeks back because the last Elite didn't make the long haul. I fixed mine and friend's one, but both eventually bit the bullet.
Do yourself a favour one day and crack open an Xbox 360. It's hard to believe they actually had any engineers involved in designing the thing.
My favourites are
- Fall Out 3
- Modern Warfare 1 and 2
- Mirror's Edge - Damn annoying, but hugely satisfying.
- Far Cry 2
- Assassin's Creed 1 and 2 (not played the new one yet)
- Bioshock
- Mass Effect (f***ing dumb AI in the first one tho)
- Dragon Age Origins - huge like Fall Out 3
- Gears of War 1 and 2
- Fear and Fear Files - just for the creepy girl.
- Portal (although I played this on PC)

I only play sports games but the Fifa series is obviously amazing and I'm a huge NCAA Football series fanatic. Used to love the college basketball games too but they were never that amazing unfortunately. Still wish they made them though.

yea college bball games usually sucked (even though i love college hoops)....nba2k is awesome, i just dont like some of the AI shit, like making my guy do some fancy dunk in traffic then getting blocked from behind when he clearly coulda just taken it directly to the rack (which is what i wanted him to do)....also the big guy hardly ever rolls on a pick and roll .

I have a number of friend who suggested this... I played plenty of GT2 back in the day, and don't see myself having the time/interest to do the same thing, but I'm guessing it's become pretty ridiculous. Off to find some video reviews...

Only real sports game I still play is Fifa. I have the new madden for psp but meh. As much as I miss playing NHL 95 for sega genesis, I don't feel like spending $60 for a hockey game.

My favorite games of the last couple of years are left4dead and Starcraft 2... nothing really comes close for me. Battlefield BC2 / Vietnam is kind of cool but I haven't played a lot.
The one game that I already know will join the list is Portal 2. There is no way it's not going to be awesome.
The only reason I can think of why left4dead isn't as popular as it should be imo is that you absolutely need a team of friends on skype to play with... otherwise it can be really frustrating.

I think it's a pretty monotonous game. I've been playing it over the last year because it's something to do in the background while doing monotonous aspects of my job. If I'm doing thinking work I don't have it open but otherwise I find it keeps me less frustrated with wok and extends my work endurance. Was just curious if anyone else ha an account.

So, while I'm hating on pc gamers, I also can't wait for Diablo 3. I just googled a release date and it seems very, very far off. I think I'll align the purchasing of a new pc with the release of this game. I'm assuming there will be a ton of FTR guys to play with. While I enjoyed playing Diablo 2 back in the day, click click click click win, there weren't many people that I knew to play with. That's a major problem for a game like that.

There are tens of texture packs that you can use to change the pictures on the sides of the cubes, but the cube-yness of the graphics is elemental to the gameplay.

If only I could aim with a joystick. I'm pretty suck at PC first person shooters, but put a console remote in my hand and I really turn into one of those droolers who can only luckbox a headshot.
