Also, finally got my file on 'defend your castle' to the point where castle defends itself with minimal human intervention. This was my completion goal as the levels are infinite.

I play a pretty mean plastic guitar. If only my real guitar were as tuneful

Yes, I'm so glad I invested the couple of years of not gaming to get behind on the times. It's much cheaper and you have these pre-made lists of awesome games.

That said, finished Assassin's Creed II last night and it's just good, not great. I guess I'm not seeing what others saw.

Just got Bastion from xbox live arcade. It is awesome and a very unique way to tell a story. It's $15 but you can download a trial version to test it out. I highly recommend it. Oh, it also got best download game of the year in 2011.

There's no way I'd get a new machine for day z. Whilst it looks really cool, I think it will turn in to the kinda game where you spend ages preparing for something, ie scavenging and getting supplies and weapons, but that something you're preparing for never comes. Once you get them, there's nothing to do, no real objective and definitely no closure. I still wanna play it, but I think it would lead to an ultimately unsatisfying end.

Final battle in ME3 is pretty epic. Thought I'd just play a little before I went to bed but it was so intense I'm completely wired now. Got past the Brutes but yet to make it through the waves of Banshees.

It was pretty sweet. It's a FPS but with a lot of loot grabbing and such, with a lot of humor thrown into the story. PIck up the original for ~$10 and see if it's your bag.
