Borrowed Deus Ex, it gave me one of the best gaming experiences attempting a zero kills all stealth run for my first go round.
Possible Spoilers, but unlikely:
Just before the first boss you take an elevator down into a very sneak un-friendly complex filled with soldiers. I was dilligently working my way to the target when I got peeked, panicked, and began running up and punching people in the face/stun gun/slanging concussion grenades. It was intense. I would recommend it to everyone.

You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

Been traveling a late lately but looking forward to getting home and playing more Fifa career mode. I have some complaints but I really enjoy the transfer system supported by the youth academy and scouting networks. Building your team in the short term and long term is a lot of fun.

Best f'n game I've ever played, period. Let me offer some advice tho. Don't rush through it. When you finish it, you'll know what I mean.

I find there are very few things in gaming as satisfying as lining up 6 head shots with that slow mo aim mode in RDR and then watching the proceeding blasting of faces.
Edit: With your 6 shooter LDO

Recently got ghost trick for ipad. You can play the first two chapters for free. The dialogue (there's a bunch) is silly Japanese stuff but it's a cool concept.

Just borrowed RDR and gonna go load it up now. Between poker, WW and RDR my wife and kids are gonna think I abandoned them. I'm sure they'll be ok.

Just started playing Resident Evil 4 again. For one reason or another, I've never completed this game... the furthest I've ever managed was just past the castle.
I'm annoyed with myself for leaving such a ridiculously awesome game on my shelf for so many years, so I'm gonna give it some serious love and attention and hopefully go for 100% (including Ada, mercenaries, you name it)

I've heard RE4 is one of the best games of the last 10 years. The Rebel FM guys always refer to it lovingly.

RE4 seems like one of those games that would make buying a (stupid) console worth it.

There are points where it becomes more of an experience than a game. In particular the death animations (there are loads) are just fabulous. The first time I had my head lopped off by a chainsaw, I watched the saw slow down slightly at the bone and then fly out the other side in a shower of blood. Attention to detail ftw
I believe it's available for download on both XBL and PSN, so there's no need to buy a crappy console just to play it. Although the wii pointer makes aiming dead easy (pun intended)

Just going by what I've seen online, there's HD versions in the xbl / psn stores. I assumed by 'stupid console' you meant the wii, as re4 has been out for PC for years...

Im playing the uncharted series for the first time. I really like Drake's Fortune, and am about halfway through. Its either rather difficult for a fps...or i just suck at aiming from having not played fps's in forever.

i dont remember completely, but i got through the water temple and the first trial. I think i was supposed to go to the second trial next. Maybe thats not that far for 35 hours, but i spent a ton of time screwing around with mini games and exploring.

I don't remember finding the aiming difficult but some of the jumping/climbing puzzles were at times.
Uncharted 2 is prob one of my fave games ever. Surely Top 5. Haven't got around to playing 3 yet. RE4 for the Wii is up there as well. It's been out for years but I just played it last year and found it stands up really well.
Playing Assassin's Creed II right now - interesting and very good but some of the gameplay mechanics are annoying, particularly when you have to chase somebody.

I'm in agreement with bigred, there's no way you could pop a kid in a video game.
In the opening scenes of Homefront these parents get executed on the street corner in front of their toddler and he runs up to their corpses crying his eyes out. If only the rest of the game was even half as awesome...

Why is no-one talking about SSX Deadly Descents? While it's not quite as good as SSX 3 was in its day, it's sorta like sayign that FF7 wasn't quite as good as FF6. They both blew the industry out of the water. Game is over the top insane, hard yet rewarding, gorgeous graphics, terrible storyline, but I'm not one to read a Playboy for the articles either.
Re: killing kids? Rockstar games was allowing kids to get ganked way back in Grand Theft Auto on the NES, you could run over a baby-carriage with your car, and it wasn't the Kid's Kool-Aid that you were leaving in your tracks as the car peeled away. Call of Duty had kids in the airport that you help the Russians shoot up, In Deja-Vu, you could poison a kid, but that would get you arrested and thrown in jail with the smelly homeless guy who you socked in the eye.

Have you ever bought a game based on the media buzz / hype? I have, lots of times. The only time I was disappointed was with Pikmin (GC). After hearing so many places call it a 'must-have' I went and picked it up, but despite sinking several evenings into it I just couldn't enjoy it at all. My brother thinks it's awesome though.

scratched the shit out of my mw3 disc when I was dusting my tv cabinet while dead playing SnD. Knocked glass pane off holders, xbox continued to spin disc while it came off try and scratched itself to shit on try. Same exact thing happened to my Fifa 11 disc.
