San Andreas is only my most favorite game ever. I got to $400,000,000 in the game without cheating, but then I wanted to cash out.

But even so I never played 4. I'm just now contemplating whether or not to buy a console or a new video card to play newer games. New videocard seems to be the +EV option though, as SWTOR is about to be released and even if it is an MMORPG it's the one game that has piqued my interest in ages. Well, that and NBA 2K12.

+everyone on not having been into much GTA in recent memory. I've tried to pick up GTA 4 a few times, but once I get in a car and see how terribad I am at driving, I just quit outright.

Really the only game I'm interested in is the next Fallout whenever that comes out.

the only fallout i played was new vegas. which was fun except for the stupid vats system. was not a fan of easy mode combat but i thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of the game

Yeah VATS + whichever skill makes you good with a sniper rifle makes the game super ez mode. I remember clearing out the Deathclaws from that salt-mine area from like a mile away. But Fallout 3 and NV were both super fun to explore.

I have been thinking of picking up some sort of game again. I was an avid gamer in the past back in the Nintendo, sega and PS1 era and played a ton. Once PS2 came out I played Vice City, Grand Turismo 3 and a lot of sports games. I haven't been able to find the genre I want to get back into playing. I have looked at even playing WoW a couple times but haven't picked it up. Since picking up poker my inner gamer has faded.

I even got into Half Life, Command and conquer, myst and some starcraft2 on the computer. I miss playing games, I just can't find one to peak my interest in my downtime like Poker did.

I dunno. I the last elder scrolls one I never leveled up (I think villains levled with you?) so I was getting kickass weapons and the bad guys stayed the same level. It was too easy.

What are your thoughts on the following games:

Batman- never played
Mario Galaxy -finished 1 never got into 2
Donkey kong country returns - never a fan of Donkey kong, is it the same genre?
Portal- liked it, but only played about 20 levels of #1 just this year when it was mentioned here. Found it a bit slow but like the riddle aspect.
Red Dead Redemption - never heard of it, watched youtube and didn't seem interesting.
First person shooters - used to be my preference, but don't spend enough time. Played some halo, tons of quake, unreal tourn, half life and the sorts all the way back to the original Duke nukem on the computer. They got too fast and too many to keep up. I like the problem solving aspect of single player more than online HU4rolls types.

NBA Street 2 and 3 were pretty cool for me too. I think I need something to play at the computer more than on console, since my kid always seems to have the Wii and PS3 at his house.

Yea, that was pretty fkn AIDS, and I really think that to date the series peaked at Morrowind. Skyrim looks like it has some serious potential though.

Morrowind is my hands down favorite game of all time though. If they could revamp the battle system to be more similar to Oblivion I think I would spend another 8,000 hours playing that game.

I played both on PC back when I had a PC that could play games. Most likely going to play Skyrim (if I ever do) on Xbawks since I don't want to invest in PC hardware anymore.

Infamous 2 was great, got the bundle. I'm playing the first one now too, it's fun but the graphics are a bit rougher, it's difficult getting used to not having all his powers. I keep just missing buildings, and hitting the button to glide only to be dissapointed.

Also playing MW3 on PS3, Knightofnarg if anyone wants to add me. Pretty good with domination, mediocre everywhere else.
