Oblivion is my hands down favorite all time game ever, Fall Out New Vegas was fucking awesome too though.

NBA2k11 is the shit, and me and my friend are just now getting halfway decent at it.

You know, vicarious excitement has been a long running theme for me when it comes to video games. I had a PCGamer subscription for years without having played a video game (aside from halo at a friends house or something like that) in a long time. I guess I juts enjoyed the hype but was sick of being let down?

an old one or a newer slim? i had the ylod happen to my old one and was able to fix it with a heat gun and some heat sink compound, but it only lasted for another 2 months. there are some really good vids on youtube showing how to fix it if you go that route.

L.A. Noire has been excellent. It could easily be a game that you'll start playing and be through the first disc (for Xbox it has 3 discs) several hours later without ever thinking of the time.

Civ 5 was a disaster

It hasn't lived up to expectations, but I'd hardly call it a disaster. The patches have made it better as well.

I haven't played multiplayer, so maybe thats part of it, but I've got over 120 hours on this game so far. That number is lower than it would have been if the game was the nuts, but it's still more of my time than most games get.
