im really liking how the chargers are playing the pats thus far on the defensive side. brady isnt used to getting hit, and my boy shawn merriman is going to put some serious hits on him.

rivers == complete garbage. Wonder how long till they start calling for his head in SD. Right before the drive where he threw his second pic I said "well, they're doing fine but rivers is still going to kill them with a rainbow bomb that falls 10 yrds short". If that ball isn't 10 yrds short it's a touchdown and a different game.
The second half of the GB/NY game was complete garbage. It didn't help that I was with 7 couples, 5 of which were ignoring the game to laugh at two puppies playing together. Then some guy (with 2:30 left in the game) goes "wow this is a really good game". I proceeded to throw up in my mouth.
What good came of today? Brett Farve throwing the game away. Now we get one more year of every announcer playing with his balls because he loves the game so much, ignoring the fact that he throws game killing interceptions which were bad decisions to begin with. I don't give a fuck about GBs record this year, he should have retired 5 years ago.
I'm pretty sure I'm not watching the super bowl. Either it's a Boston fan's wet dream, or it's Eli Manning... Fucking shoot me.

For someone who doesn't follow football, how big of an upset was the giants beating the packers?

i was thoroughly disappointed in the chargers-pats game but the packers-giants game was at least comical.
play of the day: favre throws pick at giants 10 yard line, and dude fumbles, green bay recovers for a first down.
runner up: lawerence "choke artist" tynes redeems himself with a 47 yard fg after missing a 36 and a 43 yard fg that wouldve sealed the deal

Look at the bright side: At least now you won't have to watch your precious Green Bay get fudge packered by the greatest dynasty of all time.
And how can anybody seriously hate New England? Sure they beat your home team, but they're also as perfect a team as any ever and likely ever will be, and that's a beautiful thing. Not to mention that Bellichick will forever put to rest the notion that he's not the greatest coach of all time when he leads the Pats to the most pure of domination over nearly a decade. Something no other team has done without a salary cap or could do against the league's current competition.

But I hate the NFL because they were a big aid in passing UIGEA, and that's just pure evil.

Is that a serious question? 90% of NFL fans hate them, the reasons why are so obvious that they don't need to be said.

This sucks. Both the teams that should have won lost. I feel sorry for the best quarterback in the NFL not making it to the SB. Maybe next year Philip.

At this point, the Pats HAVE to win. Otherwise they risk being burdened with the mantle of "greatest sports choke in history".

I fail to see the problem with this.
Actually, when you phrase it this way it makes me somewhat ok with the thought that eli might be a super bowl champion. Damn, that's hard to type.

Not a problem with me either. I'm sure the Patriots and their fans would have a BIG problem with it, though.
