So I finished in second by one vote. I've known this for like a month (friends with one guy on the committee). The way the winner was described it sounded cartoony lame, but I wanted to give it a chance before venting...

I was waiting to get a picture, because like most threads, it's worthless without pictures. This is worse than I could ever have imaginied

 Here's some fun:

I can do:
Backhand
Forehand
Push Pass
Waffle (we call it the schwa)
Duck (I'm still working on this)
Hammer
Scoober
Thumber

Two that aren't on the list:
Basketball shot - hold up your arm like you're throwing a free-throw, put the disc on your thumb and stabilize with your hand. Snap wrist like you're shooting a free throw, but put a little spin on the disc
"punt" (doesn't have a name) - drop disc with some spin, kick in the direction of spin, adding more plus some forward movement. I played with a guy who can to this consistently for a 25ft throw.

Can't do:
Beach thumber (possibly the most worthless throw ever, don't learn this)
Wheel of Death (also useless)
Viggiano (I'm going to try it today)

wow, major beat man. Youres was clearly the best, and it didnt have all those gay slogans around it.

Im actually kinda upset.. I remember talking to you about it and I felt confident you were going to win. That design is so bad. Well its not bad.. but its just a generic sun that you can probably find in any clipart database, and some corney crap written around it. Im angry. Im going to write my congressman.

Dude, your design is sooooo much better. You can certainly see the talent and thought that went into the design. It was cool to check your original thread and follow the evolution of the design. Well done. Find a way to get yours on the market and I bet you'll be seeing your discs fly around a lot more than the other.

minimalism is great, but its a design contest, and this is just some standard peice of clipart. If it was minimalistic and original, well then thats obviously different. Seriously man... for some reason this is making me actually angry.
