Bad Weather Rant in Spanish

Ya llevamos mas de 10 dias con pura lluvia aqui en la ciudad, y estoy hasta la madre.

Quiero llevar a mis hijos a jugar al parque... no se puede. O tal vez ir a pasear a comprar algo en el mercado? Ni madres.

Juro que si sigue lloviendo cada dia voy a ahorcar al primer cabron que me confunde en el juego pendiente de Werewolf.

Mi unica forma de entretenimiento durante esta epoca (aparte de andar por aca) es ver como este guey insiste en levantarse aunque sepa que no es el momento oportuno.

I love afro ninja. I also studied spanish at school and although it was a very long time ago I still got the jist of what you were saying there. (10 days of heavy rain in the city and you're sick of it, can't play with the kids, afro ninja is your only entertainment?)

Funny story about when I first moved down here in 1997 and my Spanish was shaky. The "parents" I was staying with as part of a total immersion study program kept telling me to take local bus routes rather than taxi cabs, so I decided to give it a try.

When I saw the truck cruising along, I signaled and the driver stopped to let me aboard. I paid him whatever the fee was at that time, told him my destination as I had been instructed by my Mexican "mother," and walked back a bit to hold on to the rail.

I immediately became suspicious upon viewing my surroundings. There were no windows in the truck, no other passengers and a shitload of bread items stored on either side of the rails... turns out I had climbed aboard a "Pan Bimbo" bread truck (which looked just like the buses) running its route.

The driver and his partner cracked up with laughter, but they took me to my destination and handed me a complimentary package of Twinkies on the way out so all good.

Anyway, I'm tired of the rain here in Mexico City. Maybe today the weather will change.

Afortunadamente ya se mejoro el clima aqui en el DF, y estoy a punto de llevar a mis hijos a jugar un partido de futbol.

Obviamente todo la gente por aca sigue emocionado por los ultimos juegos de la Copa Mundial, pero personalmente el proximo partido de HombreLobo me interesa mucho mas que Brasil contra Holanda o Alemania contra Argentina.
