Post subject: Backgrounds on avatars question

I made a new avatar but I was wondering if there is any way for the background to be the same color as the background of the post. Since each post switches from a darker to light shade, sometime it looks smooth with the message, and other times its just dumb looking with the background.
I noticed the liveboon bracelets dont seem to have this problem, how can I fix it?

Well.. uhhhhh I'm a fish.
Its disquised because it says "Compuserve GIF" which fooled me.
