spoon doesn't think it's a real baby
i think that if it is a real baby, then someone should kick the dad in the balls so he doesn't reproduce anymore.

it's likely not fake and I think it's pretty cool. Dad's just trying to ensure that he breeds em strong or else "accidents" will handle the darwinism.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

Looks real enough to me, the baby moves and looks natural.
I was thinking the same as triumphant cracker above, figuring he's an aerial acrobat or something getting his kid into it pretty damn early.
And I don't think the arms would have popped out of the sockets. first, babies are pretty damn resilient. second, i didnt notice any strong jerks anywhere, it all seemed to be smooth movements using momentum.
def an unusual dad, but that vid didnt look especially dangerous to me if dad can hang on and not hit the ceiling/walls/tv/etc.

Ya, I have an 18 month old and that baby looks about maybe 9-10 months at most. It seems hard to believe that he wouldn't dislocate something. But hey, it def looks real so who knows. Not to mention that its like 3 minutes or so long and just be jostled around for that long would do some kinda damage.

I've had two experiences with "Nursemaids Elbow" which is a dislocation of the Ulnar bone from the elbow. It is an EXTREMELY common dislocation and not permanantly harmful in any way.
The reason it's so common is because a baby's ligaments are very loose and pliable at that age, so they don't pull the bone back into the socket. If this video is real, the child probably has some sort of condition where the tendon is tighter than normal, or the dad is mentally retarded.
I'm going with the latter of the two, and to be honest, If I saw that dad doing that shit for real, I'd have a hard time not beating him with his own television.

A Queensland man has been charged for re-publishing on a video-sharing site a viral video of a man swinging a baby around like a rag doll.
The controversial three-minute video had already been published widely across the internet and shown on American TV news shows. The clip can still be found online today.
Chris Illingworth, 60, a father of four from Maroochydore, thought he would share it with fellow users of Liveleak, a site similar to YouTube but focused on news and current events. In two years, he has uploaded hundreds of videos to Liveleak.
His home was raided on Sunday, November 30, by Queensland Police from Task Force Argos, which specialises in combating child pornography and child groomers.
He was charged with using the internet to access and publish child-abuse material and is scheduled to appear in court in Maroochydore on December 18.

I can't even find that link now because a google search brings up hundreds... it's all over the net
Man charged over viral baby-swinging video
[/b]
The man being charged is not the guy in the vid. It's the guy who posted the video...n Austrailia where they have laws against that kind of stuff. We still don't know who is in the vid, what country they are from, or what the law will have to say in that country, eventually.
It seems a clear case of killing the messenger. Was what he did wrong? Discuss.
